人教新目标(Go for it)版八年级上册Unit 1 Where did you go on vacation 学情评估卷
Dear John,
I am really (excite)to hear that you will come to Brazil(巴西)to spend your vacation. Let me tell you something about my hometown Rio de Janeiro (one). It is big and nice city. If you travel to Rio de Janeiro, you can see the biggest park in Brazil, the biggest library South America and the biggest football stadium(体育场)in the world. If you (be)a football fan, Rio de Janeiro is the best place to visit. You can see many famous (star)playing here.
If you come to Brazil in February, I will take you to join in the carnival(狂欢节). That will make you relaxed happy. It is the biggest carnival in Brazil and it usually (last)for three days. During the festival, you can see a lot of people wearing colorful clothes and (dance)in the street. You can also join (they). It's great fun.
I hope to see you soon.
Yours,
Tom
Martin D12 Guitar for Sale I'm selling my used Martin D12 guitar, bought in 2010. It has been sitting in its box for years as I've no interest in touching it. I'm asking for $800. The box is included. The price of the guitar was $1,100 when I bought it. It's in perfect condition, except for some scratches (划痕) on the front of the guitar. They don't influence its sound. I'll post the guitar after you buy it. My name is Mike Evers. My e-mail address is mevers@126.com. |
From: Dora Swift (doras@pnet.com) To: mevers@126.com Subject: Martin D12 Guitar Hi, Mike, I saw your ad and I'm interested in the guitar, but I have a few questions. Where does the guitar come from? I searched online, and it seems that American model has a maple (械木) neck, while the neck of the model from other countries is made of worse wood. If you know where it was made, that would answer my question. I'd also like to ask you if you could keep the guitar for a couple of weeks. I'm abroad now, but I'm coming back on the twelfth of next month, and I'd like to try it out first. I can offer $20 more for you on top of the $800 that you're asking for. Let me know if you can wait. Thanks! Yours, Dora |
Before your journey starts
Dad: Mia, do you remember your sixth birthday?
Mia: Of course, Dad. We {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(make) a paper boat together. Then we put our little boat in the pool. It sailed {#blank#}2{#/blank#}.
Mum: Look at this. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} new paper boat for you!
Dad: It's a letter from Mum and {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(I). We want {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(share) some thoughts with you.
Mia: Oh, thank you!
Dear Mia, Time flies! You are now in junior high! Are you ready {#blank#}6{#/blank#} your new life? Primary school was like a pool. It was small and safe. Dad and Mum protected your boat{#blank#}7{#/blank#} winds. {#blank#}8{#/blank#} junior high is like a river. It is wide and the water {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(move) fast. You will face new problems. We are still here {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(help). But sometimes you have to {#blank#}11{#/blank#}(sail) your boat by yourself. Just try your {#blank#}12{#/blank#} (good ) and work hard. Remember this: no pain, no gain. You will go {#blank#}13{#/blank#} storms towards the sea. We made this letter {#blank#}14{#/blank#} a new paper boat. We hope it helps you in the {#blank#}15{#/blank#}(come) years! With love, Dad and Mum |
