Andy doesn't like cleaning his room. This morning, when Andy is lying in bed, Mum walks into his room. She finds there are many clothes on the floor. Mum gets angry and says, "Look at your room, Andy! I don't want to come into your room at all. Today your brother Ryan wants to go to the zoo. Get up and put your clothes on quickly if you would like to go with us. "

Andy gets out of his bed and finds his coat, jeans and scarf on the floor, but he only finds one of his shoes. "Can you help me find the other one, Mum? "Andy asks. His mum says, "No, Andy. I don't know where it is. It's your fault(错误)to put your things everywhere. Now,  ▲  . l will check it after we come back. And you can't ask your grandpa for help. "

Then Mum leaves for the zoo with Dad and Ryan. Andy has to clean his room at home and it takes him a morning to do the cleaning. Finally, he finds his shoe on the bed! When Mum comes back, she sees Andy's room is very tidy. She says, "Good job, Andy! Here is some ice cream for you. "

Mr Black and Mrs Black have a happy family. Here's a photo of their family. The man in a brown jacket is Mr Black. He's a doctor. The woman in a white dress is Mrs Black. She's a teacher. Mr Black and Mrs Black have two kids. The boy in front of Mr Black is their son. His name is Jack. He's twelve years old. He's in a green T-shirt in the photo. The girl next to Jack is his sister, Kate. She's ten years old. She's in a red skirt in the photo. 

Jack and Kate are in the same school, but they're in different grades. Jack is in Grade Seven and Kate is in Grade Five. They're good students at school. They study hard and they like to help their classmates. At home, they like to help parents do housework. Their parents love them very much. They love their parents, too. 

A Special Day

 One day when I was seven years old, I went to a park with my parents and sisters. We played on the grass and sat on the see-saw(跷跷板). It was a wonderful day. 

 Now, as a parent, I often think of how my words and actions might influence my children. Something ordinary might just become a special memory for them. 

 Last year, when my son turned four, we had a special day. In the morning, we drove to the train station and bought two tickets. We stood on the platform, enjoyed the sunshine and watched the trains come and go. Soon afterwards, we caught our train. We took two window seats and watched houses, bikers and cars whiz by(呼啸而过). 

 After getting off the train, we walked to a restaurant. We sat, looked through the menu and asked each other what we would like to eat. We waited patiently for our food and tried everything we had ordered. The foods were all our favorite. 

 Then, we walked around the city center. We visited a toy shop and ended up buying a train. After all, it was the little man's birthday. We also enjoyed some hot chocolate at a coffee shop. Finally, we made our way back to the train station and returned home. 

 Every so often, my son will look at me with dreamy eyes and ask, "Mama, when can we have a special day again?"

 Sometimes, we go to a park; sometimes, we try out a new restaurant. We don't do this too often, or it won't be special. But we don't do it too rarely, either, or we might forget how much we both love having them. 

①These days, a growing number of robots are invented. They can not only do difficult tasks in factories but also provide support at home or school. 

②Have you imagined a robot that can dance with you? Some educational robots can do that and they offer help in learning and problem-solving. In classrooms, these robots encourage students and bring them fun. At home, they can be the helpers for the students to improve creativity. For example, aNAO robot is a human-like robot with a cute face and two feet. It's about two-feet tall and can talk, move, and even dance. It helps students learn languages and programming. 

③Some companion robots are able to help your grandparents live more happily. Among them, the robot named The Five should be one of the most excellent companion robots. It was known to the public for the first time on September 24th, 2024. Different from other robots, The Five has got four legs with wheeled feet. Although its face looks small and strange, its powerful fingers enable it to lift an adult weighing 65 kg. It can help the elderly with many tasks including getting up, walking and carrying heavy things. Although it hasn't been widely used yet, it has already been tested successfully in a nursing home. There is no doubt that The Five can bring much convenience to our life. 

④However, there is still something robots can't do. For example, they don't have human feelings or creativity. Unable to think independently, they can only follow programmed instructions. Also, they are usually expensive to produce. 

⑤As modern technology improves, robots will become smarter in the near future, and people will enjoy an easier and more comfortable life. 

My grandmother Florence is eighty this year.She is an incredible woman.She is my favourite member of our family.We all call her Granny F, and she lives independently in a small bungalow (平房) with her black cat Sheba and a canary (金丝雀) called Dingles.

Her cosy home has a tiny kitchen, a bathroom, a living room and a bedroom, with a lovely backyard where she enjoys sitting in summer.She leads an active life and goes for an early morning walk in the park every day.Being very independent, she manages all household tasks herself, from cooking to cleaning.

In her free time, Granny F keeps herself busy with various activities.She is an avid (热衷的) reader of books, magazines and daily newspapers.Every Saturday, she visits the local market and works in her garden.She also enjoys spending time with her friends.

Granny F has a large family—four children, ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.On Sundays, we all gather at her house for tea and her delicious chocolate cake.While we discuss the week's news, the children play in the backyard.We all love and care deeply for our wonderful grandmother.
