Last year, my family and I made a journey to Hainan. It was really a nice place which gave us a rather good experience.

 {#blank#}1{#/blank#} January 7th, we took the plane in Pudong Airport. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} it was my second time to travel by plane, I felt even more excited than the first time. Soon we arrived. There was a big {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(different)between the climate here and that in my hometown. It was warm here and we could see coconut trees everywhere.

On the first day, I went to Bo' ao (博鳌) to enjoy the sea and the {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(wonder) beach in the sunshine. The sand on the beach was so soft that it was comfortable {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(lie) on the beach. In the afternoon, I did {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(activity) on the beach with my new friends from all over China. The next day, I went to Haikou. I spent several hours {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(visit) the tomb of Hairui. He was {#blank#}8{#/blank#} officer in the Ming Dynasty, who was famous for rectitude(正直). I think he should be the role model of every person. In the afternoon, I went to a park. A lot of stones of different {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(shape)came into sight. When arriving on the top of the park, it {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(seem)that the whole city was under my view.

I will never forget this trip because it gave me a lot of knowledge as well as good memories.

17-year-old Brennan Agranoff, a colorblind boy, started his custom (定做的) sock business in middle school, with a little money he got from his parents. Up till now, he has sold over $1 million worth of socks online in the last four years.

Brennan thought of the idea for his custom sock company at just 13 years old. He was playing in a high-school basketball game in his hometown, and noticed that many kids of his age were wearing the same white Nike sport socks. The boy told himself if these white simple socks were so popular with kids, then some cool custom designs (设计) would surely be more popular.

But the boy didn't tell his parents about the business idea immediately. He spent six months researching things, like printing machines and technology and writing out a business plan. When he had everything planned out, he asked his parents for some money." They thought the idea was a little out there," Brennan recently told CNN Money, but he kept pushing, and finally got a $3, 000 from his parents to start his company. Then he began to work on his own designs. Though he was colorblind, it didn't stop him and he has created over 200 kinds of designs now.

Business was slow the first year, but then Brennan started pushing his own brand(商标)HoopSwagg socks on the Internet. Orders soon started coming in in large numbers, and HoopSwagg became a popular brand among custom sock lovers. Right now, people can find his designs on HoopSwagg website, Amazon and eBay.

Four years after starting his business, Brennan has achieved great success while balancing(平衡) school, housework and his social life. And he says he loved every minute of it.

Jim and his family arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 7:00 p. m. They took a maglev train(磁悬浮列车) to their hotel on Longyang Road. The 30 km train ride only took 8 minutes. They were surprised at how fast the train was. After they got to their hotel, they had dinner and went to bed. They would spend three days traveling around Shanghai.

On the first day, they went to Yu Garden. Yu Garden has a history of over 400 years. They visited the wonderful world of old buildings, ponds and bridges. It was really amazing(令人惊叹的). They then bought some interesting things and ate lots of nice food at Yuyuan Market.

On the morning of the second day, they went to Shanghai Ocean Aquarium. It is very big. They saw a lot of sea animals there. In the afternoon, they went to Shanghai Tower. It is so tall that Jim was a little afraid.

On the third day, they visited Shanghai Disney Resort. It opened on June 16, 2016. It's the sixth Disneyland in the world. They took rides, watched shows and took lots of nice photos there. At the end of their trip, they were tired but happy.

I often felt shy in front of a group of people. So I didn't like speaking in front of others. And my first day at the new school made my classmate laugh. 

My teacher asked me1 my name on the blackboard. Of course, I knew my name and knew how to write it. But standing at the blackboard with the eyes of so many classmates on my back made2 nervous. I forgot all the things but those eyes. I wanted to cry. I didn't know what to do. I could not write a word. 

"Just forget us and write your name, " the teacher said3 and walked to my side, "What is your name?" 

I was too4 to answer. 

"Richard, " all the students answered5 me. Then they laughed loudly. 6 sad I was! 

After class, the teacher told me to go to her office. She told me that people might feel nervous7 they speak in front of many people. Then I8 that there was nothing. I just needed to do it as often as possible. 

Since then, I have become brave. I have tried my best to take part in some speech competitions. I used to think if I could not go on, life is nothing but an awful song. But now I know the9 of courage(勇气). I believe that I would be10 confident student. 

I used to have little passion （激情） in my life. But what happened the other day changed my mind. It was then that I learned how1 it is to have a passion in life. 

That day I went home in Mom's car. When Mom2 at a red light，someone on the side of the road caught my eye. It was a man dressed3 rags（破旧衣服）. He was homeless. That didn't interest me，4 I had seen many people like him before. Those people usually looked unhappy and hopeless. But this man was5 in some way. He was not sitting down with a6 expression. Instead，he had a7 in his hand and was dancing happily to the music. The radio seemed to be the most precious thing he had. "Mom，why does that man have a radio though he's8 ? " I asked

"He9 it，" she replied. 

"But why doesn't he use the money to buy food or clothes? He10 something that he didn't need. " "Well，Sarah，sometimes food and clothes aren't the most important. "

That man must care so11 about music that he bought a radio instead of food or clothes. I soon realized that12 is the key to life. 

Since then，I am always thinking of13 is truly important in life. A home，a meal，clothes — these things are only14 of the life. What we often forget is that we all need a joy，a light in a15 day. We all need a passion which gives a person the happiness they need to keep going.
