I love Shanghai. I think I fell in love with the city even b{#blank#}1{#/blank#}I came here. To the Western mind, Shanghai was considered both strange and beautiful, it was known as" the city of adventures" and "the Pearl of the East" . And when I arrived, I wasn't disappointed. I could feel the energy of his people as I w{#blank#}2{#/blank#} the city streets and as I strolled(漫步） along the Bund admiring the bright lights of Pudong, the city really did shine like a beautiful pearl.

That was many years ago, but my love for Shanghai has grown not less but more, the city has n{#blank#}3{#/blank#} stopped improving, and it is now ranked(按名次排列）among the ten best cities in the world. And the Shanghai government hopes to make it best city in the world by 2035. But w{#blank#}4{#/blank#} makes a city the "best"?
