Treasure hunting(寻宝游戏) is not just a story from m{#blank#}1{#/blank#} or books, but can also be part of your next holiday.

Five years ago, US art collector and writer Forrest Fenn h{#blank#}2{#/blank#} a treasure box somewhere in New Mexico, the US. The box was f{#blank#}3{#/blank#} of gold coins, diamonds and other treasure. It's worth about ＄1. 8 m{#blank#}4{#/blank#} (12, 400,000 yuan), and it will go to whoever finds the box. The 84-year-old millionaire(百万富翁)7 l{#blank#}5{#/blank#} some clues(线索) in his book The Thrill of the Chase.

    Fenn said the i{#blank#}6{#/blank#} came to him after he got cancer(癌症) in 1988." I wanted the monetary value(金钱的价值) to be a consideration for those who are l{#blank#}7{#/blank#} for it, but mostly my motive(动机)was to get kids off the sofa and a{#blank#}8{#/blank#} from their texting machines and out in the m{#blank#}9{#/blank#} ."he told KOAT News in the US. Fenn said about 30,000 people came to find the box last year. He g{#blank#}10{#/blank#} that this year more than 50,000 people would come.

A few weeks ago, I went into Chase's class for help. I e-mailed Chase's teacher one evening and said, "My son keeps telling me that his homework is maths, but I'm not sure whether I should believe him. Help, please." She e-mailed right back and said, "No problem! I can help Chase after school anytime." And I said, "No, not him. Me. He gets it Help me."

And that's why I stayed with Chase's maths teacher. We talked about teaching children. We agreed that subjects like maths and reading are not the most important things that are learned in a classroom. We also talked about something else--kindness and bravery. 

And then she told me this. 

Every Friday afternoon Chase's teacher asks her students to take out a piece of paper and write down whom they'd like to sit with the following week. She also asks the students to nominate (推荐) who is the most popular student that week. They needn't write down their names on the paper. 

After the students go home, she takes out those pieces of paper and studies them. In fact, Chase's teacher is not looking for a new seating chart (表) or "popular students". She is looking for lonely children. She's looking for the ones who don't want to talk with others. She is finding out whose names are not noticed by their classmates.     ★        

After watching Columbine, the wise woman knew that all violence (暴力) comes um loneliness. So she decided to start fighting violence early and often, and what she is doing is SAVING LIVES. 

And she finds the lonely kids from those lists and tries to help them. It's maths to her. All is love--even Maths. 

Welcome to my classroom! I'm Tom. This is my schoolbag. I always put it on the desk, but now it's under my chair. It's black and white. Black and white are my favorite colors. My pencil box and books are in it. What's in the pencil box? A ruler, two pencils, a pen and an eraser are in it. The ruler is white. It's new. It is my friend Lucy's ruler. She has two, and she lends(借) one to me. The pencils are nice. One is black, and the other is red. The red one isn't my pencil. It's Jim's. The black pen is mine. It writes very well. The eraser is white. I take these things to my school every day. 

Young people and older people don't always agree with each other. They sometimes have different {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(看法) about living, working and having fun. But last month in one special program in New York, adults and teenagers lived together and {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (影响) each other in a friendly way.

Each summer 200 teenagers and 50 adults live together for eight weeks as a group. Everyone works for several hours each day. Lots of vegetables and fruit are {#blank#}3{#/blank#}（种植） on the farms, i{#blank#}4{#/blank#}carrots, tomatoes and apples. Teenagers learn to{#blank#}5{#/blank#}（修理）things like tables and chairs with the help of the adults. 

When people live together, rules are always{#blank#}6{#/blank#} (必要的). In this program the teenagers and the adults make the rules together. Also, they make a {#blank#}7{#/blank#}（协议）to decide everything together. If someone breaks a rule, the whole group will discuss the problem. Sometimes, adults are w{#blank#}8{#/blank#}than teenagers in solving problems, but teenagers have quicker mind.

One of the teenagers says about the experience, "We don't only think about o{#blank#}9{#/blank#}. We learn to think about the{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(整个的）group."

 Maybe you' ve experienced it before: You' re nervous, you find it difficult to sleep or eat, everything seems to be so worrying. And if you haven't experienced it yourself, maybe you' ve heardLeBron James says that even 20 more years into his NBA life he still gets nervous— even before the common season games. Why? Because he loves what he does and he loves that he's still getting to do it. He welcomes the nerves: the nerves, he says, give him a sense of being present, of feeling alive.

 So if you' re looking forward to a point in your work when you don't get so nervous anymore. maybe it's time to stop. Because the nerves don't go away when you' re excited about what it is you get to do. And the nerves can even help you to perform at your best. However, the trickiest things about nerves may be that they help or harm us so much as we believe that they help or harm us. Our understanding of our nervousness— as it usually does— becomes the truth. So how can we deal with it properly?

____ . One thing that we can do is to believe that stress can even be good. In fact, according to the science research, there is a kind of"good stress," the one that we have to have for learning and growth. Without it, we' re either bored or refusing to get out of our comfort zone, and therefore not getting any better at what it is we'd like to do. The next important step is to notice when they start to fall from proper challenges into tiredness, even become sickness, or pain. When such a moment happens, you need to remind yourself that it is natural and try to calm yourself down, trying to come back to what you can control.

 Breathing is the only thing that we can control. This is not to say"just breathe," because that's hardly helpful advice. But that is what you can hold on to in that case. Practice breathing, you can become calm again bit by bit. What comes next will also become matter of the course.

 Anyway, if you love what you do and you want to keep getting better at doing it, allow yourself to find out what you need to make friends with your nerves, it is such a frightening word as it sounds.
