Thereare many interesting stories between Father and Son.

Oneday, Father and Son were walking slowly1 a river, suddenly Son cried, "Daddy,look, there is a woman falling into the river!"Without thinking too much,Father jumped into the water and2tothe woman, "Don't worry, lady. I'm a good swimmer and I will try my bestto save you." Father pulled the woman on to the bank (岸边). He was3but happy. But the lady was not thankfulto Father at all; instead, she slapped Father heavily. She jumped into wateragain. Oops! This was a4competition !

Itwas snowing5, but Son was very happy. He spent a lotof time making a snowman with Father. It was tall and big. Son liked it verymuch. But at night, someone6the snowman down. When Son saw this thenext morning, he cried sadly. Father was angry and decided to find out who didthis. He was dressed as a snowman and stood by the road. One man came here andwanted to push the snowman again. Bang! The snowman kicked his ass. "Oh,my god! I met a ghost! "The man ran away quickly.

Onemorning, Son told Father he didn't7well.Father brought some warm water to Son and asked him to have a good rest, andthen Father hurried out to8some medicine; but on his way to themedicine shop,he found that he9hismoney at home. When he opened the door, he found Son10thecat happily .Father was so angry that he told Son to go to school at once.

"I just want a normal(正常的) birthday party,"April told her 1 as they walked home from school. They knew what April meant. 2 April was born on Earth Day, all 3 birthday parties had something to do with the environment(环境).

At the age of 7, her parents asked her to 4 all newspapers and sold them to buy presents. Last year, at 8, she planted trees. This year, she just wanted to plan her own5 birthday party.

April decided to go to the6 with her friends and she was excited that she didn't have to think anything about the7 this time.

However, things were quite 8 . When they arrived, they felt sorry for what they saw. There was9 here and there. She couldn't have fun,  10 so much litter out there.

But April wanted a non-Earth Day birthday. After a long struggle(挣扎), she asked,"Can we 11 the litter first and then visit the animals here?"

"Of course!"said her friends.

April was 12 to hear that, so they began to collect litter and it didn't take long. 13 they made it. April looked at the clean square and 14 . "It felt good to do something for the earth," she thought.

"Happy Earth Day, everyone," said April. "Now I'm ready for my zoo."

"Happy birthday, April!"shouted her friends.

"Thank you all for always celebrating such 15 birthdays with me."

Once upon a time, there was a man who kept several sheep. One morning, the man found that one of his sheep was missing. It turned out that, during the night, a wolf stole his sheep through a hole in the sheep pen (羊圈).

His neighbor suggested to him, "You should mend the hole right away." But the man said, "The sheep is already lost. So I don't need to mend it."

The next morning, he found that another sheep was missing, too. Once again, the wolf stole the sheep through the same hole. The man regretted not taking the neighbor's advice.

So he mended the hole at once.

From then on, no more sheep was stolen by the wolf. It is never too late to mend.

The doctor checked Lily's leg. Lily tried not to cry because her leg hurt a lot. The doctor asked, "How did you get hurt?" Lily replied, "I jumped {#blank#}1{#/blank#} a tree." Holding up the X-ray, the doctor said, "Yes, it's {#blank#}2{#/blank#} （break）."

Two hours later, Lily left the hospital with {#blank#}3{#/blank#} walking stick. Her leg was bandaged. In the car, she asked her mom what she should do. She didn't know {#blank#}4{#/blank#} to tell Mrs. Smith, her dance teacher. The spring dance performance was only two {#blank#}5{#/blank#} （week）away, but Lily's bandage would stay on for at least six weeks! Lily thought Mrs. Smith would be mad at her. 

 {#blank#}6{#/blank#} , Mrs. Smith wasn't angry. She said, "We'll figure something out". Lily felt silly going on stage with her walking stick. "I look {#blank#}7{#/blank#} （fool）," she said, "I can't dance with this. "

Mrs. Smith asked, "Have you ever heard of the saying ‘The show must go on'?" Together, they {#blank#}8{#/blank#} （plan）the performance, thinking of ways for Lily to move to the music. On the night of the performance, Mrs. Smith almost had to push Lily onto the stage. Lily's bandage looked big and was difficult {#blank#}9{#/blank#} （move）, but she danced. In the end, the audience applauded（鼓掌） {#blank#}10{#/blank#} （warm）. Someone threw a bouquet of roses at Lily's feet! The show went on successfully! 

It's 6:00 p. m. Kate's family are having dinner. There is rice, eggs, salads, strawberries and some vegetables like tomatoes, onions and carrots on the table. But Kate doesn't like vegetables. She doesn't want to eat them and puts her bo wl away.

" Kate," says her father.

" Where are my hamburgers?" asks Kate.

" Don't think about them. We need to eat healthily," says Mom.

" How about some ice- cream, then?" asks Kate.

" Kate," Dad calls her name again. He thinks the dinner is nice.

Kate takes a bite(咬一口) of the tomato and quickly spits(吐出) it back into the bowl.

" Kate! Room! Now!" says Dad. He doesn't like her bad eating habits.

Kate runs to her room and cries, but she soon stops. Usually, her parents will get her some other food she likes if she doesn't eat dinner. So she waits.

At about 7:00 p. m., Mom tries to get Kate to eat some vegetables, but she says no.

At 9:00 p. m., Kate wants to eat something, but her parents still don't give her anything to eat.

At 10:00 p. m., Kate goes to the kitchen and sees some vegetables on the table. They don't look so bad. And you know what? They don't taste so bad, either.

Kate learns that she should eat health y food and live a healthy life.

Thanksgiving Day is one of the most important {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (festival)in America. It is always {#blank#}2{#/blank#}the fourth Thursday in November. It is a time to give thanks for all the good things we have. On that day, people usually eat {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (tradition)  food. Everybody{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(want)to be with family and friends. So they will get together to cook a large meal. The main dish of this meal is always turkey. Last Sunday, my mother and I learned

{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(make)turkey. First, we {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (mix)together some bread pieces, onions, salt and pepper. Next, we filled the turkey with this bread mix. Then, we put the turkey in {#blank#}7{#/blank#} hot oven and cooked it for a few hours. {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (final), when it was ready, we placed it on a large plate and covered it with gravy. After {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(cut)the turkey into pieces, we started to have the delicious meal. Everybody ate so much {#blank#}10{#/blank#} had fun. What a great day!
