Travel Squad--Travel Like A Soldier

Recently, "travel squad' (特种兵式旅游) becomes a popular trip style in China. It means travel like a soldier. It's different from the relaxing kind of traveling that we all know. Visitors often go to a lot of places in a short period of time at a low cost, usually on weekends. Most of these them are college students. "Such a trip can bring a different color to my stressful life." said Chen, a 24-year-old university student. "Because it is very energy-consuming (耗体力), it is not suitable for everyone." she added.

The city of Pontevedra in Spain is great for walking and cycling. People can't drive in the city center. They make 73 percent of journeys in the city on foot or by bike. Only 30 percent of the public space is for cars. Seventy percent is for people. From 2001 to now, there are no deadly road accidents, and the CO2 level went down by 67 percent since the 1990s. 

Fun and Fitness on Bikes

A cyclist dresses up during a 16-kilometer bike ride in Moscow during the spring 2023 Velofest. Velofest is a big cycling activity in Russia. The activity was a celebration in support of bike culture and healthy lifestyles. A number of people took part and many dressed up. It meant that they want an active lifestyle and eco-friendly (环保的) way of traveling. 

I often fail (失败） to finish the reading test because there is not enough（足够） time. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}   

I have questions with my English. But I don't like to ask the teacher in front of my classmates. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}

I am afraid（害怕） to speak English with others, though I know I'm good at it. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}   

A. Try to get the main idea of the tape and do not stop to think when you hear the words you don't know. You don't need to know every word in the passage. 

B. Take short rests and plan your work reasonably(合理地). 

C. Ask the teacher after class. You can also write the questions down the paper and give it to the teacher. 

D. Review the words again until you remember（记住） them. 

E. Do reading exercises in a short time. Try to read fast. You don't need to know each word. 

F. Listen to others carefully（细心地） and write down what they say. It's a good way to practise your listening skill（技巧）. 

G. Don't worry about that. Try to speak English more with your close friends first. Once you can do it well, talk with the others.

E. An exhibition named Colors is shown at Shandon g Art Museum, Jinan. It is about artworks by women painters from China.

F. The Man Ting Fang exhibition at Chengdu Museum shows gold and silver things of Song Dynasty. These objects show the culture and lifestyle of the rich in that time.
