江西省鹰潭市2024年中考一模英语试题

阅读下列短文,掌握其大意,然后从文后的七个选项中,选择五个还原到文章中,使短文意思通顺,结构完整。

You're chatting with a friend and want to suggest a good book. All of a sudden, you can't remember the title! The harder you try to remember, . the more it eludes (使不记得) you. We've all been there, and everyone knows how hard it is to remember all the information in your head.

● Repeat important information out loud.  When you repeat something out loud, you aren't technically memorizing it. You're actually creating a pattern (方式) and sound that will make the information easier to remember in the future.

●  Turn the TV off while you study and put down the phone while you're driving. When you do different activities at the same time, your attention is divided, which will make it hard to process (处理) the information necessary to remember what you're doing.

● Take notes and write things down. Taking notes will help you memorize the information, even if you never look at your notes again!  So you'd better use pens and paper if you really want to remember your friend's birthday or an important meeting.

● Take a short walk. Studies show that taking a walk will increase your memory. If you're trying to remember something, spend a few minutes walking around your neighborhood to see if it helps.  At best, you'll remember the name of that life-changing book from primary school!

A. Pay attention to one thing at a time.

B. Remember to find a good neighborhood.

C. Never watch TV or use mobile phone too much.

D. At worst, you'll get some exercise and relax a little.

E. Say that address, phone number, or date over and over again.

F. Luckily, there are some things you can do to improve your memory.

G. Research shows that it's hard to achieve the same result by writing on your phone.

What do you usually do in your spare time? Chatting online is now a nationalpastime in China, especially among the post-90s and post-00s generation. To somepeople, however, online chats can seem like a kind of polite conversation. Yet hiddenrules and standards do exist, as long as you take the time to look for them.

   Get to the Point

When sending a friend request, include your real name and any other identifyinginformation. Remember, everybody's time is precious. If there's something you want, cut right to the chase. Never send an "Are you there?" without any follow-upmessages. The quicker that you get to the point, the more likely the other personis to reply.

   Send the Right Things

Please send texts, not voice messages. It might be easier for you to speakthan type, but what about the person on the other end? They may be unable to listento a 59-second message right now. Also, never send personal information by voicemessage—it is hard to note down. Emojis, GIFs and memes can save the daywhen you find yourself in an embarrassing conversation, or words fail you.

   Try to Understand

You can always judge a person's mood by their text messages. If the personyou're talking to says "Good night" or "I'm going to take a shower."that's probably not what they're actually going to do, it is just an excuse to stoptalking to you. If someone hesitates for longer than three seconds before saying"Yes", they probably really mean "No". If you receive theseemojis from friends who are older, read them literally (照字面地) (as a smile, a waveor a laugh). For the post-90s and post-00s generation, however, they could be speechlessness.

 阅读下面短文, 从题中所给的 A、B、C、D 四个选项中选出正确选项。

In recent years, we can see some changes on P. E. classes at schools. Besides basic trainings like running and jumping, students are having a lot of fun now. Here are some examples.

Tai Chi

Gao Ming enjoys the Tai Chi class at his school. "At first, we only learned Tai Chi in P. E. class. Day by day, my classmates fell in love withit! There is a Tai Chi competition in our school every year. Different from ballgames, doing Tai Chi makes me calm down and relaxed. It helps me get ready for other classes." said Gao, "I also keep practicing in my free time and it has been a part of my life."

Hip-hop

Ren Hui is a fan of hip-hop and the school helps her develop the hobby. "We can choose the type (类型) of our P. E. class at the beginning of every term and I always go for hip-hop." Ren said "It doesn't need much experience, so anyone can have a try. Every Monday, we learn a new movement. Then we review it on Thursday and Friday. I'm very happy to make new friends during dancing!"

Diabolo (空竹)

Playing diabolo, a traditional folk game, is a class for nearly all the students at Nanjing Yuhua Primary School. The much-loved sport includes whole-body exercise. "It is my favorite sport. It can help me train my reaction (反应) speed. Most importantly, it's so cool and fun. " Ma Jiaying, an eighth-grade girl said.

 根据语篇内容,选择最佳答案。

Do you have a good time your family? Whether you do or not, these rules will help you.

1. ____

Most people value some privacy in their lives. If you expect your parents to knock before entering your room, you should do the same to remind them that it is important to do so.

2. Let parents know your plans

Whether your parents set some family rules for you or not, they want to be clear about your plans. If you go outlet them know when you'll comeback and who you're with. Doing this can avoid some parental worries.

3. Help with the housework

Everyone knows that the housework is far from fun, including your parents! But if you choose to help with the housework with or before being asked to do so, you will be in control of your own time, Of course, you are selective about what you do around the house. That means you can choose the housework that you prefer to do and avoid the housework you dislike most.

4. Be polite

There is an expression "a little goes along way" in English. It means that a small polite gesture can have a big influence. Most quarrels (争吵) can be avoided by talking with each other nicely.

5. Apologise

Sometimes, when quarrels happen, we just cant get along well with each other. However, there must besom cone who needs to calm down and apologise, Even if apology is just "I'm the sorry that I fought with you", it will work.
