Many families find it useful to write down some rules about what (青少年), who are between thirteen and nineteen years old, are expected to do. When to start making rules
You can start to make (宝贵) rules as soon as your child has the language skills to understand them. Young children will need parents' (支持) to follow rules. They need help to understand and remember rules. You can give your child a (拥抱) when he or she does well.
Teenagers and rules
Rules about safety are helpful to teenagers. For example, you can (教育) your child that anyone without a driver's license should not drive a car. Besides, teenagers shouldn't (抽烟). It is (很坏) for their health. They shouldn't wear strange earrings by piercing their ears excessively(过度地). You should (表达) clearly that what they can or can't do.
