An interview with Joel Sartore Joel Sartore is a writer，a teacher and a photographer.His words and photos show his love and care for the world around us. 

Question 1：How did you become a National Geographic photographer？

Answer：My first job was for a newspaper. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} He liked my photos and said I should send some to the magazine.So I did.Then I got a one-day job.And after that，I got a nine-day job，and so on.

Answer：To get into the National Geographic，you have to give them something they don't have.It's not enough just to be a great photographer.You also need some special skills.You have to，for example，be a scientist，or be able to dive under sea ice，or spend several days in a tree. 

Question 3：Is it difficult to work as a photographer today？

Answer：Well，technology now makes it easy to take good pictures.I mean there are more photos and photographers.Also，the internet is full of photos from all around the world.They are free，or cost very little.All magazines need to do is paying for the photos. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}

Question 4：I want to be a photographer.Do you have any advice for me？

Answer：Advice？Well，work hard on every project.Take lots of pictures in different places.Look at others' photos thoughtfully and learn from them.And be curious about life.There's something to photograph everywhere. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Do you want to make the world a better place？If so，you'll enjoy the work much more.

Last term I didn't like my English class. Every class was a bad dream. The teacher spoke so 1 that I couldn't understand her most of the time. I was afraid to ask questions because my 2 was very poor. I just hid(藏) behind my 3 and never said anything.

Then one day I watched an English movie called Toy Story. I fell in love with this 4 and funny movie, and I began to watch other movies. Although I could not understand every sentence the characters(角色) said, their body 5 and the expressions(表情) on their faces helped me get the meaning. I understood I could get the meaning by listening to just the key words. My pronunciation improved as well by 6 in English movies. I found out that listening to something interesting is the 7 to the language . learning. I also learned some useful sentences like" It's a piece of cake." or" It serves you right."I did not understand these8 at first. But because I wanted to understand the story, I looked 9 up in the dictionary.

Now I really enjoy my English class. I want to learn new words and more grammar10 I can understand English movies better.

There are also some interesting school {#blank#}1{#/blank#} in October. On October 12th, we have a soccer game. I don't love basketball{#blank#}2{#/blank#} it's difficult for me. But I love soccer. I enjoy. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} soccer and watching soccer games. We have a book sale on October 20th. I have three old books and I want to sell{#blank#}4{#/blank#} . The art festival(节日) is fun. We have it on October 29th. My birthday is also on this day. October is {#blank#}5{#/blank#}a great month for me.
