    Keeping a diary in English is the effective way to improve our English writing ability．

    First, it takes little time to finish a diary than other writings．By keeping English diaries, we can easy form the habit of thinking about in English．

    Second, we can practice use English idioms and useful structures in our diary-writing．If we have difficulty finding suitable words or phrases to express our opinion, we can turn in English dictionaries or teacher for help．This is also a kind of learning．If we can keep on doing this, we would gradually learn how express ourselves in English freely．

    Last week, we watched an excited basketball match in our school. It is between Grade 1 and Grade 2 students. During a match, the players from all teams played very hard. Grade 2 was a stronger team. However, for our surprise, Grade 1 won at last. The player jumped and hugged to celebrate their success. Just then, the players from the other team that approached and said “Congratulations!” to them. They wore smiles on faces and you couldn't tell from their expressions that they lost the match. We were touching by the scene and felt what important a role sport plays in daily life.

    Challenges of life are of great importance in our grow. They remind me of my days in senior high school which I joined in the military training after I entered senior high school. It was the first time that I have lived away from my home, so I found it difficult to fit. And the training officer was strict with me. I once thought I couldn't stick to the end. But anyway, I was succeeded. The trials made it much easy for me to adapt to life, but I think the difficulty I came across have now become a precious memory in my life.

    In short, learning to regard the challenges of life as the stepping stone to future success and make the best of them.

    Recently, we've learned the news what our English teacher is retiring next month. Heard the news, we felt really down and couldn't help thought of our days together. In our eyes, she is not only a teacher, but also one of our closely friends. During the past three years, we had all grown into hard-working and active learners under her guidance. She has taught us a lot of English knowledges and how be a good citizen. Whenever we had problems, she was always the one we were turned to for advice and help.

    We wish her lucky and happiness in his life after retirement.
