One day， a Chinese student goes to study English in England. His family name is Sun. It is the1as the word "sun."

    When the Chinese student gets to London，a tall 5policeman with a long face 6his passport(护照) to check(检查) it. The policeman finds the Chinese name "sun" in the passport. He 7it is pronounced(发音) just like the 8word "sun". So he says to the Chinese student， "I see your name is Sun， you're wanted here. You bring sunshine9England， so we don't want you to10." They smile.

    A boy was walking in the street 1 a man came over 2 him and 3 him the way4 the station.

    The boy was very naughty（顽皮的）. He wanted 5 play a joke on the man. He pointed to6side of the road and said, “Go down the street until you reach a shop. You can find it on your left.” The man thanked him and went away.

    Like most Chinese, Mr. Zhang has a traditional family. 1 he and his wife are middle school teachers while their 6-year-old son is a pupil. Mr. Zhang's mother lives with them and helps them 2 the kid. They love one another and live a happy life.

    I asked my neighbor, Mrs. White, to take me to the bus station in the center of the city, so I could try taking the bus home.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}. When I got there, I went inside and got a bus timetable（时刻表）. I looked at the map and worked out that I needed to take three buses to get home.

    I bought the tickets and went outside to wait at the bus stop for the Number 8 bus. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. I gave my ticket to the bus driver and took a seat. At the right stop I got off. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. I waited and waited. A man was also waiting for the same bus. He said that it wasn't unusual for the bus to be late. Half an hour later, it finally came. To make the matter worse, the third bus broke down halfway and the driver had to fix it. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. So when I finally got home, I was very tired. Maybe getting a car in Los Angeles wasn't such a bad idea!
