One country (国家) that I really want to visit is Vietnam. In fact, I‘ve never been to Asia (亚洲). But I‘ve seen a lot of photos and videos of Vietnam online and it looks really beautiful. I think I can take relaxing boat rides around the small islands there. Also, I've heard that the food there is really nice!

The country I‘d most like to visit is England. I‘ve heard many things about it because my parents went there on their honeymoon (蜜月). And they have very good memories about the country. Besides that, I can speak some English, so it would be nice to get in some practice there.

I‘d like to visit New Zealand when I have time. New Zealand looks like a gorgeous country. The Lord of the Rings, one of my favorite films, was filmed there. I‘ve never been south (南) of the equator (赤道), so I wish to visit New Zealand one day!

If I could visit any country in the world, I‘d like to go to Canada. I‘m from America, and Canada is our neighbor to the north (北). I have many Canadian friends. I‘d really like to see their country for the first time!

Do you like weekends? The weekend is a time for family {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (member) to relax together. First, we often go {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(outdoor) together on weekends. Planting trees in the field, walking and {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (go) on a picnic are popular outdoor activities. When the wind blows on children's faces {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(soft), they begin {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (laugh). They also like going fishing {#blank#}6{#/blank#}the lake. In autumn, the colourful leaves {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (cover) the path(道路)in the park. The sky is higher and bluer than that of any other season in a year. It is a good season to pick fruits in the fruit garden. On cold winter days, we may watch movies. We often work together {#blank#}8{#/blank#} home. Some do cleaning in the garden. Some may also like {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (paint) their houses. We are busy on weekends, {#blank#}10{#/blank#} we are happy and relaxed. 

Peter was at his grandparents' house. He saw some coins in a bottle in the living room. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} On each coin, Peter saw dates, famous people's faces and values showing how much they are. Peter liked them so much. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}

He began his collection. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} But that quickly became too small for all the different coins he collected.

{#blank#}4{#/blank#} When his family and friends went to the USA and the UK, he asked them to bring back coins. He also bought some coins on the internet, and some of them were really expensive.

It was quite a hobby, collecting coins. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} Even the smell of metal made him smile. He was really into coins! The good thing about it was that you could use it if you really wanted to, but they were fun to look at, as well.

A. Some people collected stamps, dolls, or baseball cards, but he liked coins.

B. He started with a small box in his desk drawer.

C. The next step was to collect coins from other countries.

D. They were so cool with wonderful information.

We were silently waiting on the platform（站台） in the late afternoon.There he was，my1 grandfather with his grey hair and there I was，a teenage girl in my jeans and T﹣shirt.I was wondering how I was going to get through the next two days.Why did I agree to be with my strange grandpa on the two days' train ride from our city to2 ？

No one else wanted to be his partner along3 way since my grandfather refused to take a plane.Unlike him，I loved to fly because I wanted to get to the destinations（目的地） as4 as possible.No matter how much he 5 about the quickness of flying，my grandfather refused to book a flight，saying， "It is not just about time.It's the experience of getting there. "

One day, New York was struck(侵袭) by a terrible rainstorm. The streets were full 1  water and the underground system almost came to a stop. 

Unluckily, this happened during the morning rush hours. Many people who were going to work were 2  to go home. Some tried their best to 3  a taxi or to get on a bus. Still others faced the storm 4 . walking miles to get to work. 

I happened to be one of the people on the way to work that morning. I went from an underground line to another only to find that most service had 5 . After making my way through crowds of people, I finally found an underground line that was 6 . 

However, there were so many people waiting to 7  the underground that I could not even get down the stairs to the 8 . So I took the train going in the 9  direction, and then turned back to the downtown train. Finally, after what seemed like forever, the train 10  my stop. Then I had to walk several blocks in the heavy rain. 11  I finally got to my office, I was tired. And I was totally 12  through. 

My co-workers and I spent most of the day drying off. 

When it was 5:00 pm, I was ready to go home. I was going to 13  off my computer when I received an email from Garth, my director: I would like to thank all of you who had the 14  and finally came to work. It is always reassuring(令人感到宽慰的), at times like these, when workers so clearly show their attention and devotion(奉献) to their 15 . Thank you. 

It's Sunday today. Peter doesn't go to school. He wants to play computer games, but his mother Mrs. Smith1 him to do his homework first. Then he can do the2 he likes. Peter isn't 3 . He asks. "Mom, do you love me?"

Mrs. Smith says, "Yes, I do, my dear. "

"Then why don't you4 me play computer games?5 can't I do the things I want? I like computer games. " says Peter. 

Mrs. Smith puts Peter' s 6 on the sofa and asks him, "Dear, do you love me?" Peter says, "7 . "

Then Mrs. Smith says, "Great! Dear, I don't like doing the washing. So I don't want to wash your socks. You8 play computer games after you wash them. "

Then Peter has a 9 at all the socks on the sofa. His face gets red and he says. "Mom, I am very sorry. I should(应该) help you do some housework at home. Let's do it together. Then I' ll10 my homework. I love you. "
