What will humans look like in the future? It sounds like a cool question, but the answer may not be that fun. 

A team from an American company, built a 3D model of what a human might look like in the year 3000. Her name is Mindy. She looks a little scary. The company said the model showed how technology（科技）will change human bodies in less than 800 years. 

For example, Mindy's hands look like she is always holding a mobile phone. That's called"text claw（爪）", according to the team. Mindy also has a much wider neck. It's called"tech neck". It's from looking down at the phone for too long. Muscles（肌肉）in our necks need to be stronger to support（支撑）our heads. 

Mindy also has another eyelid（眼皮）. It can protect the eyes from the blue light of the screens. Her skull（头骨）is thicker. It protects the brain from the radiation（辐射）of computers and phones. Technology is so helpful that humans think less. That's why humans may also have smaller brains in the future. 

Will you spend less time on your computer and mobile phone after you see this scary model? 

Teachers help us to be good students and people. So we should thank them for their work. In China, we have Teachers' Day on September 10th. On that day, we say thanks to our teachers. But how do students in the US thank their teachers?

Schools in the US have a whole week in May to appreciate their teachers! Teacher Appreciate Day is on Tuesday of that week. They have parties with gifts and snacks that week. Students in the US like to give small gifts to their teachers, and the teachers love getting thank-you notes from their students. Teachers also like getting trinkets from students.

Should we say thanks to our teachers only on Teachers' Day? No. We should thank our teachers all the time. Always show our love to our teachers. It helps them do a good job.

 "BANG!" the door was shut loudly. I was just standing there, with my father standing on one side, and I on the other side. We were both in great anger. "Never set foot in this house again!" my father said angrily. With tears in my eyes, I rushed out and ran along the street. The street lights were shining. I felt sad and walked aimlessly (漫无目的地) . 

I didn't know whether it was because I had grown up or because my dad was getting old. He always put his opinions on me. We were just like two people in two different worlds. It felt like there was an iron door between us that could never be opened. 

My heart was frozen (冰冷的) on this hot summer night.As I walked on, there were fewer and fewer people on the streets. When I finally reached my house, I saw that the light was still on. 

"Perhaps my dad is throwing away some of his old stamps," I thought. "Perhaps he thinks they are useless." I never had the courage to tell him that I liked collecting stamps. All the lights were off except my father's. 

Dad was always like this. Maybe he didn't know how to express himself. After shouting at me, he never showed any moments of regret (懊悔) . This was how he always was. He had been a leader for so long that telling everyone else what to do had become his second nature. 

The light was still on. With the key in hand, I opened the door nervously. When I opened the door, tears ran down my face. I suddenly realized that the iron door that I had imagined between us did not exist (存在) at all. Love- it's second to none.
