The more drugs I took, the more addicted I became. So I had to steal something every day to pay for the drugs. One day, I{#blank#}7{#/blank#}（catch）stealing and sent to the police station. The next day, a doctor came to see me and told me that I could die {#blank#}8{#/blank#} I couldn't stop taking drugs. I took his advice and stopped {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(immediate). Now I work in a center for drug addicts, {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (help) others to stop taking drugs.

    Swedish businessman Nile Bergqvist is delighted with his new hotel, the world's first igloo (冰屋) hotel.

    {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (build) in a small town, it has been attracting lots of visitors, but soon the fun will be over. In two weeks' time Bergqvist's ice creation {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (be) nothing more than a pool of water. "We don't see it as a big problem," he says. "We just look forward to replacing {#blank#}3{#/blank#}.

    Bergqvist built his first igloo in 1991 for an art exhibition. It was {#blank#}4{#/blank#} successful that he designed the present one, {#blank#}5{#/blank#} measures roughly 200 square meters. Six workmen spent more than eight weeks {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (pile) 1, 000 tons of snow onto a wooden base. When the snow froze, the base {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (remove).

    After their stay, all visitors receive a survival certificate recording their success. Without{#blank#}8{#/blank#} (window) and places to hang clothes, it may seem more like a survival test than a relaxing hotel break with temperatures below 0℃. "It's great fun," Bergqvist explains. "As well as a good start in survival training."

    The {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (popular) of the igloo is beyond doubt. It is now attracting tourists {#blank#}10{#/blank#} all over the world. At least 800 people have stayed at the igloo this season even though there are only ten rooms.

    Many Americans put away their white clothes on Labor Day {#blank#}1{#/blank#} do not wear them again until the following May.

    One reason for the clothing custom relates to the season. In the United States, the {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (month) between June and September are summer. The weather is usually hot in northeastern cities. Many people there historically wore light-colored clothing in the summertime {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (keep) cool.

    Judith Martin is an expert on manners, {#blank#}4{#/blank#} spoke to Time Magazine about the history of wearing white in summer. She said Americans in the 1800s and early 1900s wore formal clothes all year long. Wearing white clothes in the summertime may make people more {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (comfort). Then, in about the 1930s, wearing white clothes in the summertime became fashionable. That is because some wealthy Americans went on vacation {#blank#}6{#/blank#} weeks or months in the summer. The white clothes then became connected with ease, {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (beautiful) and money. But at the end of summer, they put those white clothes away and {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (return) to their lives in the city, {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (wear) darker and heavier clothes. {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (eventual), not wearing white clothes after Labor Day became a bit of a fashion rule.
