June 12, Sunday

    Today is Sunday. I didn't get up early as usually. In the morning after I finished my homework, I do some washing. Then I telephoned one of my classmate and invited him to see a film.

    And unfortunately, when we got to the cinema at 3:00 pm we found all the tickets had sold out. Then we went to our school and played the football. Later, we were about to go home while we saw our English teacher came through the school gate. He told us we had made many progress in English this term. He also suggested that we read more and wrote more. We promised him that we would follow his advice.

    One day, I was walking to home after school while an old man fell heavily onto the snow-covered road. The number of people passed by, but no one took action. Some of them said it was none of our business; others worried that if they helped him, they might get into a difficult situation. Seeing what have happened, I called 120 immediately. While waiting the ambulance, I took off my coat to keep the old man warmly. In no time an ambulance came. Having helped the doctors carried him into the ambulance, I felt relieved. In my opinion, this is our duty to help those who are in troubles.

    There is a tradition in my family. On New Year's Eve, all my relative will come to our house for a feast. As matter of fact, it isn't the food that bring us together but the sense of belonging does. Making dumplings was always great fun. We put a coin into one of the dumplings. Everybody expects to eat the one with the coin inside, because it is said whomever gets the coin will have a good fortune in the followed year. When my mom serves the dumplings, they help ourselves immediately, hoping to get the good luck of our entirely year.     How an unbelievable scene! A modern young couple were eating fruit in public and had thrown a plenty of waste on the ground. When an old cleaner comes to clean up, the man was very angry. Dear Weihua,

    I know you are very annoying about your results in the midterm examination. I've just read an useful article about how a positive attitude affect our behavior.

    Naturally, fail an examination can be very discouraging. If you think too many about the past, you will never be able to focus what is more important for now and the future. Life is full of difficulties, but anyone may suffer setbacks. We must take a positive attitude towards the things we have to deal with. Great dreams do come truly if we make an effort. Just work hard and make preparation for another chance.
