    Last Sunday, I joined the voluntary group to help keep the traffic in good order at a big crossing near our school. At 8:00 a.m., we arrived there, wore red vests with the word VOLUNTEER on the back. We helped with the police remind the passers-by to obey traffic rule. To our delighted, they all waited for the green light patient except one motor-biker. We also give out some hand-made brochures about traffic regulations, for that many people praised us. About 4 hours later, they said good-bye to the police and left. Tired as we were, we all felt an honor to do our parts.

    Taking parts in recreation activities help us keep fit. There are different kinds of activity in our daily life, for example, listening to music, watching TV, playing chess, or going to cinema. But I think we'd better to have more outdoor activities. As students, we usually sit too longer in the classroom, and as a result our eyes and brains getting tired. But it is a good idea to play ball games, go swimming, do some runnings, or even go for a picnic. Our brains also need changes to make itself smart and active. In a word, exercise is good for health.

    Last week I went to visit to my former neighbor, Mr. Yang. He and I used to living next to each other for many years. About half a year ago, an order came which the old building, along with many other similar ones, were going to be pulled down to make room for a main street.

    So I had to move apart. Mr. Yang now lives in the suburbs near a beautiful park. His new apartment is much big than before. The only problem is that it took quite a long time to get to the downtown area. Therefore, Mr. Yang doesn't seem to worry about the long distance. He says that new subway line is to be built in a few year and he is sure life will be better in the future.

    I used to delay things until deadlines, that caused me much trouble. Therefore, I thought of some ways to get rid the bad habit. First, I took a shower right after I got home from school. It refreshed me but made my thoughts more active. Furthermore, in order to avoid being constant disturbed by my cell phone, I left them with my parents. The final strategy I use was scheduling. I managed to planning my days ahead of time so that I could break up my tasks instead of having too many work to do on the last day. By using these simple technique, I've improved my efficiency and made a great progress.

    This afternoon, I went home by bus as usual. I was listening music when I suddenly noticed the bus stop that I should get off. Then I hurried off a bus. But when I arrived home, I find that my wallet was gone—some money and several important card were in it. Eager to get the wallet back, so I rushed to the bus company for help. Lucky, at the Lost and Found office, I saw my wallet. I felt so delighting that I wanted to thank the person who had turned them in. However, I was told the man hadn't left his name. I can't imagine how a great man he is!

    Today I took part in the Beijing Foreign Language Festival with my friend Li Ming. We arrive there by bike in the morning. First we attended to a lecture introduced good methods of learning English. The audience all listened but took notes carefully. Then we went to the English Corner, there lots of people were talking with foreigners in small group. Li Ming and I joined them with greatly interest. That was amazing to find myself talking with the native speaker and we got on quite well. Time passed quickly. Before leaving, we bought some books and dictionaries. The festival gave you a good chance to practice my English.
