The Internet has become not only a necessary but also a virtual(虚拟的) world for people. With

    the development of the Internet， internet friendship has also become very popular. Online friends are those people who have known each other through the Internet. Making internet friends is the same as making pen friends. Many famous websites offer quite warm internet friendship. One can find many people on these websites and they share the same interests. It is difficult to make friends with someone you can't see or feel. That is the main problem of internet friendship. A virtual friendship would not last forever without seeing each other， but it is an advantage for some people because they are afraid to speak in pubic.

    On the other hand， the chances of cheating(欺骗) are very high in an internet friendship. Some people make friends on the Internet with wrong intentions(企图).So while making friends over the Internet， one has to be very careful. Here are some suggestions for you.

·Don't give personal information， such as your telephone number， address， location， school name as well as your parents' information， to strangers on the Internet.

·Do not exchange personal photos of you or any family member with people you meet over the Internet.

·Do not go to meet a person you have just met over the Internet. You'd better ask older or other experienced people for advice if you want to go to meet an internet friend.

·Do not accept someone's request(要求) if you feel he or she is dishonest.

    When I spent the summer with my grandmother, she always sent me to a store with a long shopping list. How could I hope to find all these things? In the store, there was a tall lady with black glasses on her nose. There wasn't a smile on her face.

    “Excuse me,” I said. She looked down and said, “I'm Miss Bee.”

    “I need to get these.” I said, holding up my list. “So? Go to get them. ” Miss Bee pointed to some shelves. “There's no one here, only you and me, so get yourself a basket and get all these things yourself.”

    That summer I visited Miss Bee twice a week. Sometimes she gave me wrong change. One afternoon I corrected her, “That bag of beans is only twenty-nine cents!”She just looked at me over her glasses and changed the price. Going to the store was more like going into battle. I got into the store just like General Patton getting into North Africa.

    Soon I learned how to find the product on the shelf… At the end of the summer, the shopping trip only took me 15 minutes. Before I left, I stopped in the store to get some candy.

    “All right, little girl,” she said. “What did you learn this summer?” Before I could answer. Miss Bee laughed and said, “I know what you think of me. Well, I don't care! My job is to teach every child some life lessons. When you get older you'll be glad you ever met Miss Bee. Haha!...”

    I didn't think of her words. Years passed, one day my daughter came to me with her homework. “It's too hard,” she said. “Could you finish my math problems for me?”

    “If I do it for you, how will you ever learn to do it yourself?” I said. Suddenly, I was back at that store and I knew what I learned from the old lady that summer.

    Mr Turner was a famous writer. He was born in New York in a rich family on 13th September, 1941. His father came from England. He was a worker. His mother came from Australia and she worked as a doctor.

    When Mr Turner was seven, he began to go to school. He usually rode his bicycle to school. At school, he first wanted to be a manager. But at the age of fifteen, he decided to be a writer. In 1965, he wrote his first book and in 1967 he wrote his second book. After that he was famous all over America.     Jeff has a white pet dog. It is very smart. It can buy newspapers for Jeff. Every morning, Jeff puts one dollar into the dog's mouth and it goes to the shop to buy newspapers for Jeff.

    Jeff has a good friend named Mark. Jeff tells Mark about his smart dog. Mark doesn't believe it. Today, Mark comes to see Jeff in the morning. (A)杰夫正在跟他的狗玩耍。Mark says, "I will give your dog money. I don't think it can buy newspapers. "

    "Have a try (试一下), " says Jeff.

    Then Mark puts the money into the dog's mouth and the dog walks out. After one hour, the dog doesn't come back.

    "How much money do you give the dog?" asks Jeff.

    "Five dollars," says Mark.

    (B)"If it has five dollars, it will go to the movies." says Jeff.

    Mo Ya, Nobel Prize winner in literature (文学)in 2012, believes his success comes from a large amount of reading.

    Mo was born into a farming family in a village in Shandong Province. Mo left school at the age of 12 and started to work in the fields. Mo was tired after his daily hard work, but he was always hungry for books. However, there were very few books in the village, he never gave up. He read his elder brother's textbooks and even dictionaries.  He helped others with farm work in exchange for books.

    After Mo left his hometown and joined the army in 1976, he began to read widely, including works by Lu Xun and many other famous writers. He studied from these writers but did not copy them.  Instead, he developed his own style.
