One afternoon, Kate and her brother, Bob, went out to play. Kate was eight, and Bob was ten. "Let's go to the bridge and we can see fish in the river." said Kate.

    "I don't know…" Bob said." Mum told us, "Don't go on the bridge." She said it's dangerous.

    Kate said," I am not afraid. Are you?"

    They walked onto the bridge and began looking for fish in the river. The bridge was a train bridge. Trains went over the bridge three times a day.

    The children were standing in the middle of the bridge when they heard a loud noise. "A train is coming!" Bob shouted. "Run!" He ran to the end of the bridge. He was safe.

    Kate ran, too, but she fell. The train was coming fast. Kate ran towards Bob. She fell again right on the train tracks（铁轨）. There was no time to leave. She had to lie down between the tracks. A few seconds later, the train went over the girl, but she was not hurt at all. She stood up and said to Bob, "Don't tell Mum! Don't tell Mum!"

    At last their mother found out the story. She was angry because they went on the bridge. But she was happy that Kate was all right.

    Johnny English is a funny spy (特工). He isn't very smart and often makes mistakes. After he retires (退休)as a spy, he teaches English at a primary school.

    One day, a hacker (黑客)attacks (攻击)the UK. The hacker reveals (公布) the names of all of Britain's spies. Only English is left, since he is retired. He is asked to find the hacker.

    English knows nothing about high—tech weapons (高科技武器). He makes a fool of himself quite often. To find the hacker, he has to work with his old friend, Bough. Soon, they find the hacker as well as a bigger plan behind him.

    English and Bough show that two heads are not always better than one. Sometimes they do silly things. But they stop the hacker's plan in the end. Do you want to meet these two silly spies? You can see them in Johnny English (《憨豆特工3》). It opened in Chinese mainland theaters on November 23rd.

    This is Mrs. White. Now she is teaching math. She works in a middle school. She lives in London, Mrs. White and Mr. White have three children. They all love animals and they have a big dog and a cute cat.

While we were growing up, our parents often said things like, "Look at that boy, he swims so well! He is such a talent(人才)．" Such words made us believe that if we were not born a talent, we would never do things well. So we were afraid to try new things, and were afraid of making mistakes or failing. But in fact, failures(失败) and mistakes are as important as success.

Sarah is lucky. She has a great father. As a child, her father asked her the same question every weekend. "What did you fail at this week, Sarah？" He did not care too much about her grades. He cared more about what she had tried but failed at. When she told him about her failures and mistakes, he would give her a high five(举手击掌)．

At the beginning of the school year, each student would be given a special job for which they would be responsible (负责任的) for the whole term. Rita, a quiet and hardworking girl, hoped for an exciting task, like taking care of the class plants. Instead, she received a small box with sand and a small ant.

Gradually, Rita's classmates became more and more interested in the ant project. They started asking her questions and observing the ant's behavior themselves. Rita organized a presentation where she shared her findings with the whole school during the science fair. 

At the end of the year, Rita's class was recognized as the best of the year. Rita was as well praised for her hard work and how she turned a small task into something big. Rita learned that every task, no matter how small, could make a big difference. She also learned that sometimes the most unexpected things can lead to great success.
