Mr. Hamel now picked up a French grammar book and started to teach. It all seemed so 1 during that last lesson. I understood all the participles（分词）which Mr. Hamel explained.

    The teacher recalled the times she had taken his hand and walked with him here or there, as she had the other students. How often had she said, "12 my hand, Douglas, we'll go outside." Or, "Let me 13 you how to hold your pencil." Or, "Let's do this together." Douglas was most thankful for his teacher's hand.

    Hearing the boy's words, tears ran down the teacher's face. She brushed aside a tear and went on with her work.

    The story speaks of 14 than thankfulness. It says something about teachers teaching and parents parenting and friends showing friendship. They might not always say 15, but they'll remember the hand that reaches out.

    I like Saturday and Sunday because I don't have to go to school. 1do my mum and dad. On Saturday and Sunday I do not need to get up 2. Then I eat a light breakfast at about 8: 30. I always finish my homework on Saturday morning. In the afternoon, I do some housework. I also clean my own room and wash my own clothes. I think doing some houseworkis 3. In the evening, my family usually watch TV together and we talk a lot about the TV programmes. On Sunday, my parents and I go to see my grandparents. We go there by bike. It's a kind of good 4. He can only relax when he is alone, because everything he does is watched and reported by the special newspaper written for the fans. The fans are the most i {#blank#}5{#/blank#} people in the world for the singer. They buy his records, they go to his concert, and they make him rich and famous. But they can be very d{#blank#}6{#/blank#}  , too. Sometimes they do anything to get a souvenir (n. 纪念品). They steal handkerchiefs, they tear off buttons，and they even cut off pieces of the unlucky singer's hair. Many singers have been forced to ride(v.即兴表演). A pop singer has to spend a lot of money on clothes b{#blank#}7{#/blank#} he must always look special and different. And most important, he must always keeping smiling.
