    This winter holiday my classmates and I go to the Sunshine Welfare House for voluntary work. After we went there, we talked about how we could do for the kids over the phone. The next day, we arrived at there with gifts we had prepared, and we received a warmly welcome. Then we began to play with them. I drew picture with the older kids, and my classmates told stories to the young ones. We spent the whole afternoon with them, talked and laughing. It was getting late.     Recently I have read a article written by Susan Beacham. She thinks if or not a gift is suitable lies not in its value and in the giver's heart. And she also thinks the giver should devote time and energy to the gift. I agree with him, whose article reminds me my best gift. It is a pen given by my devoting father. He doesn't earn many money. When I was in junior middle school, my father had bought me the nice pen. He wished me to study hardly. Since then, the pen has become my best friend, encouraging me to make great progresses.

    An old man whose eyesight was failing comes to stay in a hotel, a bottle of whisky in his hand. On the wall was a fly he took for a nail. The moment he tried to hang the bottle on it, they fell and broke. When the landlady discovered what had been happened, she decided to do him favor. The next morning when he was out, the hotel worker hammered a nail exact where the “fly” had been. Before the old man came back, the smell of the whisky reminded him the accident. Looking at the spot what he thought the “fly” was again, he was so angry that he slapped it with all his strengths. On hearing the loud cry, the landlady rushed in. To her surprise, the poor old man was sitting on the floor with the palm of his hand bleed.

    Last August we decided to drive to a countryside to spend the weekend. The only problem we had was that millions of other people had exactly the same idea. Unfortunately, there were a lot cars on the road so it took us a long time to get to the destination and finding a quiet place at the foot of a hill. We have brought plenty of food with us and we got them out of the car. Everything was ready but we sat down near a path to have a rest. We were enjoying the beauty of peacefully nature when we heard bells ringing at the top of the hill. What we saw made us to pick up our things and run back to the car as quick as possible. There were about two hundred sheeps coming towards us down the path!
