I'll always remember the first time I tried ballet(芭蕾). My mother was a dancer and I wanted to be like her, but after making many mistakes during my first class, I felt like I wanted to give up right away. Because it was only my first day, I told my mom I couldn't wait to dance again.

Several weeks passed and my dancing didn't get any better. Then my dance teacher told us that we were going to perform in a show. I was afraid of falling on my face in front of hundreds of people and made my mom sad.

I practiced hard for the show, but I still didn't get the hang of it. Finally, I went to my mom to tell her how I felt. She just laughed and told me she would tea ch me all she knew about ballet. My mom quickly found out how bad at ballet I was, but she still taught me with the greatest patience, love and understanding. When I jumped and fell, she was there to catch me. When I lost my balance, she held me up. By the time the show arrived, I was as prepared as I could be.

The music began and my heart started to beat quickly. Breathing calmly, I began moving to the music without missing a step. When the music stopped, I ran off the stage and laughed with excitement.

My mom found me and gave me a huge hug, telling me how proud she was. I looked my mom in the eye and told her that there was no way this could have happened without her. Through this, I knew one important fact: My mom will always be there to catch me if I fall.

I'm from a small town. It lies in(位于) the east of Zhejiang Province near the East Sea. You can't see it on the map of China because it is too small. There are not many tall buildings in the town. The tallest building is the primary school. 

The population of the town is fifty thousand. The East Sea is to the east of the town. To the south is the flat land. Some low hills are near the town. And a river runs through the town. 

The weather here is comfortable. It's not too cold in winter or too hot in summer. There is a big garden in the town. We can hear birds singing everywhere in the garden. And there are many kinds of fishes in the town. The fishermen(渔民) in my home town are all living a happy life. 

I love my home town and I hope it will become better and better!

It's Sunday. Tony wants to have a picnic. At 8:30 am, Tony goes to a forest park near a river with his sisters Jane and Alice by bike.

After an hour, they get there. Tony sees some students there. Some boys have a garbage bag（垃圾袋）in their hands. A boy, Bill, comes to Tony and asks him to clean the park with them. There is some garbage. Tony is a friendly boy and he says "yes" soon.

At 10:30 am, they finish cleaning the park. Then Tony has a nice picnic with his sisters. They have milk, potato salad and hamburgers. After the picnic, Jane and Alice draw pictures and take photos. They want to fly a kite, too, but they don't have one. Later on, Alice wants to swim in the river, but Tony stops her. He says it is dangerous（危险的）to do it. Ten minutes later, it rains hard. There is much water in the river.

At about 1:00 pm, the rain stops and Tony and his sisters go home happily.

Do you know suona? It's a kind of Chinese1 . Zhou Haiyan is from Anhui and her2 started playing the suona over 100 years ago. Zhou's father taught her suona when she was only six. At the age of9, she could3 it very well. 

Later, Zhou4 that there were few chances(机会)to play the suona. Many people were not rich, so they left home to5 other work. Zhou wanted to make money like them, but she couldn't give up(放弃)playing the suona. It is the most6 part of her life.
