Hello, my name is Zhang Dan. I live in 1 small village in Yunnan. The 2 here is great. It isn't too hot in summer. And it isn't too cold in winter , 3. It's always sunny. I 4 living here .     The world needs love and many people need our help. Several years ago, my teachers asked me to take part in a programme that helped those who were1. Each week, I spent an hour in the classroom helping children with schoolwork, art projects, games and other2, including eating. My mother is a teacher, so I am used to helping children. However, I found that working with children with a special need would3my life forever.

    At first, I thought it would be4to be with the children who were so different, but gradually I found there was something special about these students. So there was no need to worry about it. Each Thursday I was welcomed by the smiling faces of Thomas, Joey and Missy. Thomas had to sit on the wheelchair. He communicated with simple words5yes and no. Joey, a deaf girl, always welcomed me with a big smile. Missy was born with a kind of6and it made her really small for her age. In a normal classroom, it may be common to hear a teacher comfort a child who is tapping his pencil, speaking7, or making unnecessary noises. However, here, shouts, cries, and other noises were8. They were signs of excitement and different ways of communicating.

    Working with children with a special need has changed my life. It has made me9others' needs. One of my teachers believes that we should be part of something bigger than10. I never realized how true this was until I worked with these children. I believe everyone should get out and do something that makes a difference.

    Mr. Brown is my uncle. He is 321old. He works in a sports club. His job is to 2the students how to play basketball. He 3 far from the club. He has a car, but he doesn't 4 his car to work. Usually, he goes to work 5bike. He thinks it is good 6 and he can get to the club early when many buses and cars are in the street. Every morning, Mr. Brown gets up at 6:30. ⑥I feel lucky to have such an unusual father. The relationship I have developed with my dad over the years has enabled me to look back and see how I've grown.

No one likes thieves (小偷), but for most people in a town in California, they just laugh when they find that something small is lost. That's because the thief is a cat. 

Jean Chu and her family adopted (收养) Dusty as their pet cat a few years ago. Not long after Dusty moved in, the family started finding new things around. One day, they would find a shoe. The next day, there would be a sock. At first, no one knew where these things came from. Soon they found that the things always showed up in the mornings. And who went out every night? That might be Dusty. However, it was difficult to catch Dusty in the act (当场). Soon workers of the TV show Must Love Cats heard about Dusty's story and they decided to make a film about Dusty. They used an infrared camera (红外摄像机). Sure enough, the camera caught Dusty in the act when he brought home a toy. 

Soon the film of Dusty became popular on the Internet. The cat is a celebrity (名人) now. People come to Chu's house to get back their things every day. They have become good friends with Chu and Dusty.
