Once there were two mice. They were friends. One mouse lived in the country,    1  mouse lived in the city. After many years the Country Mouse saw the City Mouse, he  2 , "Do come and see me at my house in the country." So the City Mouse went. The City Mouse said, "This food is not good, and your house is not good,  3 . Why do you live in a hole in the field? You should 4 and live in the city. You would live in a nice house  5 stone. You must come and see me at my house in the city. " The Country Mouse went to the house 6 the City Mouse. It was a very good house. Nice food was ready for them to eat.     Because of my "lazy mother", I had to6my clothes and clean my room. I had to help my parents do7. I even had to go to the doctor by myself. It was really difficult for me to do a good job, but I have 8 a lot.

    However, I wanted to show them that I could do things as well as my sister. Then I began to spend most of my free time painting in my bedroom.  Hello,my name is Lily. I will tell you about my best friend. Her name is Trudy. Trudy has long,dark brown hair and green eyes. She is the same age as me, but a little taller. She is always happy.

We sit together in class,and help each other with our schoolwork. We always go home together after school and we play computer games at the weekend. Trudy thinks very quickly （快地）and usually wins （赢）.

Trudy is learning to play the piano. I am learning to play the flute（笛子）. We practise together every day.

Sometimes Trudy stays in my house for a night, or I stay in her house. We always have a good time.

One day, a fox was walking through the tasty grapes hanging from a branch (树枝) high above him. He was quite hungry. 

 First, the fox tried to jump in the air and reach the grapes. But with each jump, he was just inches(英寸) away from getting the grapes. As he jumped and jumped, he was getting farther and farther away from the grapes. After a short rest, he tried taking a few steps back and doing a running jump at the grapes— but again, he could not reach them. 

 He even tried to climb the tree to reach the grapes, but his paws weren ' t strong enough for him to pull himself up the tree. How he wished he had the same paws as a monkey ! He sat and looked at the grapes angrily. 

 Just then, a bear happened to walk by the fox. He saw the fox look ing at the grapes. The fox turned to him and said, " Never mind. Those grapes probably don 't taste good anyway. " And with that, he turned once more and left. 

 The bear reached up, got the grapes and ate them. They were, of course, quite delicious. " Why not ask me for help?" the bear thought. 

Wang Xinyao and her parents will never forget the special day— July 22nd, 2022. On that day, Wang 1 the admission letter (录取通知书) from Peking University in Beijing. Two important people from the university travelled to Wang's high school in Changchun, Jilin Province to give her the2 news. 

In the 2022 gaokao, Wang got a 3 of 618. As we know, it isn't easy for most high school students to 4 that high scores. And Peking University is most Chinese students' dream university. You can 5 how difficult it is for a girl who can't walk. Wang Xinyao hurt badly  6 she was practising dance moves at the age of 6. Her parents took her to many  7 in Beijing, but doctors said she would never walk.8 , her parents didn't give up. Over the next two years, the family9 in Beijing for Wang's rehabilitation (康复).
