    My father took me out camping for the first time when I as seven. He wanted teach me about animals, insects and trees. My uncles all come along with bows and arrows for hunting.

    Chinese is the world's most widely spoken language. There are much different types of Chinese. For example, one type known as Mandarin, bad almost a billion speakers.     I took the Harvard Summer School program in my vacation. During my stay there, I spend a lot of time studying in the main library Widener. I enjoyed myself in the ocean of knowledges, either doing research for my papers or read special edition books. The library, which it is named after its donor Harry Widener, stands right next to the Emerson building of philosophy. Opening a pair of heavy yet elegant metal doors, I was immediate bathed in warm light. I wandered around the library, fascinating to find one treasure after other.

    The library is a amazing place. One can fully experience the academic atmosphere only he visits the library. For me, the library as well as the courses explain Harvard's place as the home of devoted scholars.

    Yesterday, I stepped into a shop to have my watch repair. After the shop assistant checked the watch, she said she had to contact with her manager to see if this kind of problem could be fixed. As I was waiting the response from the manager, I saw a old man in a wheelchair roll himself over to the counter. No one seemed to have noticed him, so I got up, went over to his wheelchair and ask whether I could give him some helps. Kindly as I was, I found that I could do nothing to help her. At that moment, the assistant replied that it would cost little money to fix this problem. I was very sad and about to leave the shop while the old man said, "You are a nice and thoughtful boy, and I would like to help you pay for it."

    To be a volunteer is a great pleasure. Last Sunday, I get up early because I was so excited to sleep any longer. In morning, we arrived at the Happing Nursing Home. How happily the old people were when they saw us! Then we cleaned the windows or swept the floor for them, some of us gave some performances to them, such as sing songs and dancing. When it was time for us volunteers to leave, we were grateful for our kindness. From this meaningful activity, I have realized that we are supposing to care for the old. In our daily life, we should offer our seat to them on buses and treat our own grandparents more kindly. I sincerely hope more people will join in us.

Nowadays, it is more and more competitive to get into Qinghua University and Beijing University. Firstly, they have better condition and qualified teachers. Students studied there can better develop themselves. Secondly, graduates from them usually find better jobs. Thirdly, schools and parents saw them as their highest goals, which pushes the trend greatly. As students, we shouldn't take it too much seriously. You can also realize your dream even you are not admitted into the two universities.
