Once upon a time, there was a young man called Ma Liang He was poor. But he was kind and hard-working and liked drawing. One night, he dreamed(梦见)that an old man gave him a magic paintbrush(神奇的画笔)and asked him to use it to help poor people. When he woke up, he found the magic paintbrush in his desk.

From that day on, he used the paintbrush whenever people needed help. When he saw that people had no water to use or drink, he drew a river and the river came to life. People could bring water from the river.

Then many people knew about the magic paintbrush. But a few days later, a rich and bad man heard that the magic paintbrush could turn everything to life. He took the magic paintbrush away from Ma Liang's house and put Ma Liang into prison(监牢). Then he drew a lot of pictures with the paintbrush, but they could not become real.

So he said to Ma Liang, "If you draw some pictures for me and make them real, I will make you free."

The young man agreed and drew a sea first. Then he drew a golden mountain which was far away from the sea. The bad man said, Draw a big ship quickly. I want to go there to get the gold."

After the young man drew a big ship, the bad man jumped into the ship with his family and friends quickly. When the ship moved to the middle of the sea, the young man drew a large wave(波浪)and they never came back.

While being abroad, I have tried to collect small things, and I have been taking lots of photos. I have my {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(自己的) map and I have circled all of my favourite restaurants, cafes, parks and other places on it. I have even coloured it to show whether it's {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(可能的) for me to have free Wi-Fi or lunch at these places. I plan to make a scrapbook {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(用……) all these things.

"Scrapbook" is an empty book. People usually take it away with them on holiday, and fill it with "scraps" of {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(邮票),tickets, maps, photos, etc. You will always have the memories (记忆) of your favourite places and why you liked them so much. So it is really {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(有价值的) to have it. If you ever want to {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(返回) to that place, you can get some information from it. My scrapbook started in last {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(9 月).And now, eight months later, it is {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(几乎;差不多) full!

You can't {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(想象;设想) how happy you can be by just looking at an old ticket with a special {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(日期) on, or a napkin from your favourite restaurant. It's the little things that can make you smile.

I was once a fat girl. I weighed 336 pounds and looked as big as my fridge. I was never 1 it. But one day I had a medical examination（体检）. The doctor told me that I was having heart trouble. It 2 me up. I began to feel nervous. Then I decided to do something!

In a year and five months, I3 104 pounds. What a great thing I did ! I didn't have any expensive food, medical treatment（治疗）or camp-style（训练营式的）exercise. What was the secret to my success?

First I looked through the Internet for do-it-yourself 4 that people could follow on losing weight. Of course I saw countless(无数的) ads which tried to get me to buy their products. But I bought nothing. The only thing I did was to change my bad 5 . The following are what I have done. You can try these. Stop drinking something with too much sugar in it. Refuse(拒绝)sweet cakes. Eat green vegetables. Use only vegetable oil. Never eat after 6:30 pm. Also, do light exercise for 15 to 20 minutes five days a week. 

Then I kept doing what I should do. People sometimes say, "You don't need to tell me 6 to do. I know it already!" But the fact is that knowing what to do and doing what you know are totally7 . The important thing is to know what to do and then just keep doing it. 。

I have recently returned from a trip to London and Paris. It is great to see the historical places in London such as the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey and Big Ben. If you get tired of the historical sites, I can 1 you a good place to travel—the Hard Rock Cafe. It is always 2 to get a T-shirt from there. Also, try to visit the pubs in London. It is very relaxing to visit them. Getting around in London is 3 . Just take the underground to any place in the city.

On the other part of my trip, I visited Paris. It is 4 the most beautiful city I have ever visited. I advise you to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower, visit the Arc de Triomphe and the Louvre Museum. The Louvre Museum is the museum where you can 5 the famous painting—the Mona Lisa. If you are 6 good food, go to the Latin Quarter. There you will find many cheap 7 . You can spend little money on meals. However, you should know a little French, because it is difficult to get around without knowing any French. Of course you can point out what you want on the 8 , and they understand money!

Another 9 place to visit while in Paris is the Palace of Versailles. It is so big and beautiful. The 10 to Europe was probably one of my most wonderful experiences, and I did it all in a week.

My best friend is Lisa. She is also my cousin.

 We often hang out together. On Saturdays, l always go to the library with her. We read books and do our homework there. She studies {#blank#}1{#/blank#} than me so she often helps me with my homework. Lisa often helps to bring out the best in me {#blank#}2{#/blank#} I am becoming better and better. And I. am better {#blank#}3{#/blank#} sports. so I often teach her to play tennis after finishing homework. And we go to the movies once a month. As for me, hanging out with friends is not only at lot of fun because her jokes can make me laugh {#blank#}4{#/blank#} but also helps me keep friendship. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} time together helps us stay close.

 For example, I {#blank#}6{#/blank#} to do anything interesting with her last summer vacation. So we went to {#blank#}7{#/blank#} friend's farm in the countryside. {#blank#}8{#/blank#} was great. We fed some{#blank#}9{#/blank#} and saw some baby pigs. They were so cute. She taught me how to take care of them. Still no one seemed to be bored as we get enough health y food and took quite a few photos there.

 As the saying goes, a true friend {#blank#}10{#/blank#} for your hand and touches your heart. I know she cares about me and I wish we are good friends forever.
