    In October last year, I was studying at a school in Cambridge but it was only my second months in the school. At an end of the month the head teacher organized a party for all the new students. It is a good chance to get to know my new classmates and I really looked forward to join in it. As the party was on 31^st October, I thought it was a Halloween party. So, the day after the party, I searched everywhere and managed get a witch's costume. When I arrived at my head teacher's house, he opened the door and looked at us if I had been complete mad.

    All the other students wore on normal clothes!

    Do you believe love is the most important? In the early twenty century, homeless people were often brought up in orphanages, in that they received little love. At one time, Dr. Skeels took twelve children from art orphanage or had a young girl look them each day. He also studied another twelve children who are left in the orphanage all day long. He followed these children not until I hey grew up, and the results were shocked. The children staying all day in the orphanage were either dead or suffering from serious illnesses. However, the twelve children loved by the girl were all healthy and independently. The only difference between the life of these children -the love, made a great difference to us.

    Last summer, to my delight, I got a chance to go to the United Kingdom. I was eager to see how England was like. Although my parents objected to my decision at first, but finally they were persuaded. It was the first time that I have travelled abroad alone. Felt excited, I boarded the plane. Suddenly, however, I found my luggages gone and felt helplessly. It was on that moment that the airhostess came to my assistance. After helping me find it back, she suggested that I attached a label to my suitcase on my next journey. I was thankful to the kind lady for his help! What unforgettable trip!

    Learning is very important for each individual because we have to acquire new and advanced knowledge every day. So it will bring many advantage all through our life to be the successful learner.

    Successful learners are similar to many ways. They are independent thinkers but have a positive attitude towards their study. Besides, they have the competence of applying how they have learnt to practice. How can we be successful learners? In my opinion, first of all, we should develop for our interest in study, as an old saying went, “Interest is the best teacher.” Second, we should form the habit of make plans for our study and keep a good balance between study and entertainment. Finally, remember not to depend our teachers or textbooks only. A good learner often have a lifelong habit of teaching himself.

    I have always remembered visiting my aunt and uncle who live in a countryside. One time, we drive down from the city to their house. We were stopped to rest once or twice on the way because the journey was such long. By the time we arrived it was dark and it was difficult see much. I remember getting out of the car and step into a pool of water. I immediately regretted wearing my best shoe because they became dirty. My mother tried to clean them, so it was hopeless. I cried for hours afterwards. But now look back, I consider it a both funny and happily memory in my childhood.

    I was about to go back home after school while I heard someone crying nearby. I looked around and found the boy sitting on the ground. I went up to him and asking gently what had happened. The boy looked at me, still crying, pointed out to a ball in a deep hole and told me everything. I decided lend him a hand, and the ball was out of my reach. Where could I get the ball? I thought it over and then had an idea. I quickly fetched some bottles of water and poured them into the hole. With the water rising, the ball floated up. The boy got the ball happy and expressed his thank for my offer.
