    One day, I was comfortably waiting for my flight with a good book to read when {#blank#}1{#/blank#} elderly lady was wheeled to our waiting area. I noticed the trouble she was having {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (try) to open a packet of nuts with her shaking hands. Jane: Hi, Jack. What are you doing there?

Jack: I'm reading a book about the American scientist, George Washington Carver, who made great {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (contribute) to American farming.

Jane: I have read an article about him too. He was born into a state of slavery.
