It is not often that a person has sympathy for someone who stole from him / her. But when Chrissy Marie read the note written by the brother of the “1” who took her butterfly wind chime(风铃), her heart 2.

    The young boy 3 the note and left it on her doorstep. Chrissy 4 a photo on Facebook of the note and the US＄5 the little boy 5 .

    The note read: “I am6that we stole your wind chime. Our mum died and she liked butterflies. My sister7 it to put by our window. I am sorry this is the only8 I have. Please do not be mad at us. Jake .”

    Chrissy Marie wants Jake and his sister to know she is not9 Now Chrissy wants to find Jake and his sister and 10 their money.

    Chrissy11to Jake via her Facebook message: “Well Jake, I hope you can come to get your money12 . I had three of those wind chimes. And I am not mad at all.”

    Chrissy is13 to the area, so she doesn't know many people. She tried to14who Jake is or where he lives, but 15 .

     “I have knocked on a few doors nearby. But I can't16 far because of my injured leg.” she wrote. “I asked my neighbour,17 she didn't know anyone named Jake.”

    Chrissy understands how 18 it can be to lose a mother. She said, “Obviously, the boy felt 19 for what his sister did.”

    Chrissy has been surprised by all the 20 her post got, and she hopes it won't scare Jake off.

    My friend Dom recently set himself a 21-day kindness challenge. Dom took up this challenge because he had been 1 some difficult times after a relationship breakup. Instead of feeling2 for himself, he turned a negative into a positive.

    He started Mother's Day by 3 his mother at her work with his brothers. He had won some money before, so on Day Two he donated some of his 4 to a local disability organization. Later that day, the local district was 5 by strong winds so he 6 his elderly neighbour's gutters (排水沟) on Day Three.

    On Day Four he 7 some elders in the retirement village, chatting with them. Trading in his car 8 for a bicycle helmet (头盔)for the next two days was Dom's way of being 9 to the environment. On Day Seven and Eight he picked up rubbish that was10 the river shore and he drove to the blood bank to make his blood 11 And then on Day Nine he bought a lottery ticket (彩票) and put it in an envelope with Act Of Kindness 12 on it before sending it. On Day Ten my daughter and I found ourselves 13 in a supermarket car park with a flat battery. I called Dom, who came to our 14 with a smile and 15started the car so we could get home.

    And so Dom's kindness continued for 16 eleven days. He 17 people to check his Facebook wall each day to see what he had achieved with the18 that others would feel inspired. His posts attracted more and more likes19the days went on. I have loved every minute of this, he posted on the last day. I encourage you all to 20 your comfort zone to continue the challenge.

    When I was young, my father invited my grandmother to come from Ecuador and live with us. When I first saw her, I thought she wasn't the person I had 1 for. For the first few days we didn't speak much, beyond her 2 me that I played too many video games. I never 3attention. Then one day, she showed me a 2's multiplication table (乘法表) 4 I was playing my beloved games and told me that I couldn't play any more games until I memorized it. I was5 but had to try to understand the pattern that all these numbers followed. That was when she approached me and explained the 6 to me.     Jim and his brother lived on the 80th level. When they were coming home one day, to their 1 , the lifts were not working and they had to 2 the stairs.

    This story is a reflection (反映) of our life. When11 , many of us are asked to do as our parents and teachers expect. We 12  get to do the things that we really like and love. We are under too much pressure 13  by the age of 20, we get tired and decide to 14  this load (负担).

    Charlotte Whitehead was born in England in 1843, and moved to Montreal, Canada at the age five with her family. While 1 her ill elder sister throughout the years, Charlotte discovered she had a(an) 2 in medicine. At 18 she married and 3a family. Several years later, Charlotte said she wanted to be a4. Her husband supported her decision.

    5, Canadian medical schools did not 6 women students at the time. Therefore, Charlotte went to the United States to study 7 at the Women's Medical College in Philadelphia. It took her five years to 8 her medical degree.

    Upon graduation, Charlotte 9to Montreal and set up a private 10. Three years later, she moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba, and there she was once again a 11 doctor. Many of her patients were from the nearby timber and railway camps. Charlotte 12 herself operating on damaged limbs and setting 13 bones, in addition to delivering all the babies in the area.

    But Charlotte had been practicing without a license. She had 14 a doctor's license in both Montreal and Winnipeg, but was 15.The Manitoba College of Physicians and Surgeons, an all-male board, wanted her to 16her studies at a Canadian medical college! Charlotte refused to 17 her patients to spend time studying what she already knew. So in 1887, she appealed to the Manitoba Legislature to 18 a license to her but they, too, rejected. Charlotte 19 to practice without a license until 1912. She died four years later at the age of 73.

    In 1993, 77 years after her 20 , a medical license was issued to Charlotte. This decision was made by the Manitoba Legislature to honor "this courageous and pioneering woman."

Like many young people, 11－year－old Sean Lesniak is fascinated with sharks. However, little Sean was not only 1 in learning about them and watching them, but also tried his best to help them 2.

Sean's passion for sharks started very 3 in life. When Sean was just 3 years old, while watching Shark Week, he 4 that people did away with many sharks just to use their fins (鳍) for 5！ It is estimated (估计) that more than 100 million sharks are 6 around the world each year. He could 7 believe this was happening. As Sean's interest and passion for sharks 8, he wanted to take action to keep sharks from killing. And he decided to 9 at home when he learned that his state of Massachusetts didn't have a10 that prevented shark killing! Sean wrote a letter to his state representative, David Nangle, asking him to introduce a law that would 11 shark killing in their state. In his letter, Sean included a hand drawn shark with its fin 12 for eating. After a few 13, he was able to speak to Representative Nangle, who agreed to 14 the bill (法案) and in June, 2014 it became a law! Massachusetts is now one of the 10 states in America that have forbidden shark killing. Since then, Sean has focused his 15on helping sharks, working with Shark Biologist, Dr Greg Skomal.

He is also now 16 about helping to protect sea turtles in his state. And guess what Sean wants to be 17 he grows up. A shark biologist of course! Sean's 18 show how young people can make a big difference in the world. His advice to other youth is "if you feel strong about something and if you believe you can do it, you should try your best to make it 19. " He has set a good 20 to young people all over the world.
