A British man learned the skills to perform Beijing Opera, making people enjoy his lively performance of the Monkey King.

Ghaffar Pourazar, born in Iran, is full of interest about China. In 1993, he happened to watch Beijing Opera which professionals from Beijing performed in London. Ghaffar fell in love with the beautiful voices, colorful costumes, excellent shows and so on. So after one year, he arrived in China alone and became a student of Beijing Opera at a Beijing school.

At the age of 32, he had to learn with children every day. For him, it was difficult to learn the dialogue in Beijing Opera and it was even his biggest obstacle. But he never gave up.

Four years later, he began to learn to perform the Monkey King, a traditional character(人物) from the Chinese classic story Journey to the West. He arrived in the workroom an hour earlier than other performers and also bought books and CDs to better understand the character. He once got a top international prize(奖品) for performing the Monkey King.

To help more people enjoy Beijing Opera, Ghaffar often teaches the traditional art form in schools in the US, Britain and other countries. Ghaffar led(带领) a group of actors to perform 66 times in a month and a half in the United States. He also led a 48-member team to perform in Malaysia. In the past 10 years, he has performed(已经表演了) more than 400 shows.

The Flame Mountain（火焰山）is about 200 km away from Urumqi in Xinjiang. It is in a place with many high mountains around it. It is much hotter than nearby places. If you want to enjoy the feeling of a hot shower in summer, it's the right place to go!

On hot summer days, it can get hotter than 80℃. Try to cook eggs or cakes in the sand and they will be ready in a few minutes!

Does rain help make it cooler? People hardly see rain in 10 out of the 12 months in a year. Why? For most of the time, the raindrops dry in the hot air before they reach the ground.

The mountain came into being millions of years ago when the earth was changing a lot. We can't see any plants on the top of the mountain, only red rocks. They make the whole mountain look red. In hot air and strong sunshine, the mountain looks like a burning flame. That's where its name comes from.

Clark and Dale were staying in the same room in a hospital. Clark was so sick that he could not even move his body._He had to spend all his time lying on his back. Dale could sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon. His bed was next to the room's only window. 

Over time, Clark and Dale became good friends. Every afternoon, Dale would look out of the room's only window, describing the scenery outside for his friend. He told Clark about the flowers in a park outside the window, the people walking by, the green trees beside roads—anything that might interest a man. 

One morning, when a nurse came to check on the two men, she found that Dale had died in his sleep. As soon as the room seemed tidy again, Clark asked if he could move to the bed next to the window so that he could look out of the window himself. The nurse agreed. Slowly, he could take his first look at the world outside. To his surprise, he could see nothing but a blank wall of another building. 

The nurse explained that Dale had been blind. He had never seen anything outside the window at all—but he described beautiful scenes to help his friend feel better. 

One day, a successful businessman was getting ready to go to his office in the morning. When he opened the door of his car, a stray dog(流浪狗) sleeping under his car suddenly came out and bit his leg! He was angry and threw a rock at the dog, but he was not able to hit it. 

Upon reaching his office, the businessman called a meeting of his managers. During the meeting, he took out his anger on his managers. His managers were upset about this, and took out their own anger on the employees(员工) working under them. Gradually, the businessman's anger spread through the whole company. '

The businessman was still angry after returning home. His wife opened the door. She asked him, "Why are you so late today?" The man shouted at his wife, "I didn't go to the office to play soccer, I went to work. So don't ask me such stupid questions!" His wife was upset about being shouted at for no reason. She turned her anger on their son, who was watching TV. "This is all you do. You have no interest in studying! Turn off the TV now!" She yelled. 

The son became upset as well. He walked out of his house and saw a dog passing by. He picked up a rock and threw it at the dog angrily. The dog ran away, barking in pain. 

Sometimes, when we are angry about something, we might take out our anger on others who are not to blame for our mood. This is not fair to others. We should learn to control our anger. 

When Barbara was young, she dreamed of being a writer. In 1972, she {#blank#}1{#/blank#} a children's book and wanted to get it published. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}, she failed. Barbara finally made the hard decision to give {#blank#}3{#/blank#} her dream.

Luckily, Barbara's grandson Chad made her dream come {#blank#}4{#/blank#} last Christmas. Chad discovered his {#blank#}5{#/blank#} old manuscript (手稿) by accident. Reading the pages, he was {#blank#}6{#/blank#} by the story. He decided to give his grandmother a perfect Christmas gift—the publication of her book.

{#blank#}7{#/blank#} Christmas morning, Chad handed Barbara a gift bag. As Barbara carefully opened the gift, she couldn't believe {#blank#}8{#/blank#} eyes. It was {#blank#}9{#/blank#} beautiful printed book! She was so excited that she didn't realize Chad was {#blank#}10{#/blank#} a video. Since Chad posted the video online, it has had over 4 million views and about 800000 likes. "This is probably the {#blank#}11{#/blank#} thing someone has ever done for me." Barbara says in the video.
