A lot of people in our country take a nap after lunch, so do my classmates.{#blank#}1{#/blank#} (recent) I have conducted a survey on{#blank#}2{#/blank#} (take) a nap after lunch among my classmates. Most of them are in the habit of sleeping for{#blank#}3{#/blank#}while at noon as they believe it does good to them. The majority prefer{#blank#}4{#/blank#}do so around 12:30 and the nap usually lasts for about 30 minutes. They often {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (choice) to sleep at home instead of in their classroom {#blank#}6{#/blank#}dormitory.

    Hopefully, the result of my survey can draw the attention of our parents and school. Since most students are in need of a nap, proper{#blank#}7{#/blank#} (arrange) should be made so that students can have a good rest after a whole {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (morning) hard work. Students should not be{#blank#}9{#/blank#} (ask) to do extra work during this period of time. After all , having a nap after lunch, one can feel {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(refresh) and energetic enough to study more efficiently in the afternoon.

    As is known to all, art {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (influence) by the customs and faith of a people. Styles in Western art have changed many times.

    When I left for the United States to study, I had butterflies in my stomach. I was nervous because I was going to {#blank#}1{#/blank#} new place with new people and new customs. I couldn't even understand {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (they) language. Everything was different {#blank#}3{#/blank#} my own country. There was nobody that I could talk to.     It was a sad moment when I had to say goodbye to my family and friends.     Benjamin West, the father of American painting, showed his talent for art when he was only six years of age. But he did not know about brushes before {#blank#}1{#/blank#} visitor told him he needed one. In those days, a brush was made from camel's hair. There were no camels nearby. Benjamin decided that cat hair would work instead. He cut some fur from the family cat {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (make) a brush.

In 1747, when Benjamin was nine years old, Mr. Pennington returned for another visit. He was amazed at {#blank#}7{#/blank#} Benjamin had done with his gift. He asked Benjamin's parents {#blank#}8{#/blank#} he might take the boy to Philadelphia for a visit.

    In the city, Mr. Pennington gave Benjamin materials for creating oil paintings. The boy began a landscape painting. William Williams, a well-known painter, came to see him work. Williams was impressed with Benjamin and gave him two classic books on painting to take home. The books were long and dull. Benjamin could read only a little, {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (be) a poor student. But he later said, “Those two books were my companions by day, and {#blank#}10{#/blank#} my pillow at night." While it is likely that he understood very little of the books, they were his introduction to classical paintings. The nine-year-old boy decided then that he would be an artist.
