    Adventure advice: When your feet are tired, take a boat trip along the beautiful and famous Li River.

    White-water rafting in Nepal

    In Nepal, you can experience thrilling rapids(湍流) and the beauty of the Himalayas at the same time. Take a white-water rafting trip down the Sun Koki River, world-renowned for its powerful rapids. At night you'll camp beside the river on white water, enjoy the quiet, lonely Nepalese countryside.

    Adventure advice: Don't go rafting in summer. High water levels make it dangerous.

    Scuba diving in Malaysia

    Go diving in the clear waters around Spaded, an island in Malaysia, and discover an underwater world. You'll see large sea animals swimming along. The colorful coral along the reefs hides tiny fish. The wide kind of tropical life found around Spaded makes it famous for diving.

    Adventure advice: You can dive at Spaded, but you can't sleep there. The island is a protected park, but you can stay on one of the nearby islands.

    I have three friends. They are Lucy, Mary and Mike. They have their favourite pets(宠物). The dog is Lucy's favourite. She thinks(认为) it can help us and it is our good friend. Mary likes the cat. She thinks it is nice to play with it. Mike says his favourite pet is the bird. It can sing very well.

    Animals are our friends. Sometimes they do funny things. Look at the pictures from an English newspaper. The Daily Telegraph chose some funny animal pictures from 2015. Get ready for some good laughs.

Dear Miss Zhao,

    Thank you for introducing the summer camp program to me. This program is organized by Yueyang Education and Sports Bureau (岳阳市教体局). It has brought over 500 middle school students to the countryside to experience the life here.

    We have been in this small village for six days. Every morning we get up early, breathe the fresh air and hear the birds sing in the woods. 我们一走出房子，就可以看到花、草、树木和动物。 We go for walks through the countryside and watch the villagers do their daily activities.

    Li Guoqing, a sixty-year-old villager says, "Thanks to the government, great changes have taken place in the countryside. People mustn't cut down trees or build houses on the farmland (农田). Anyone is not allowed to make our rivers or lakes dirty. All villagers are supposed to put rubbish in the bin."

    We really enjoy the trip and come to realize the importance of protecting the environment. 每个人都应该参与保护环境。 If the environment is taken good care of, we'll have a cleaner and greener world. The clean water and green mountains are our treasures.

    Two Chinese farmers sang "in the spring" in their small room after drinking in a late August evening in Beijing. A friend put their song on the Internet. And soon they became stars around China.

    Wang Xu, 44, is from Henan, and Liu Gang, 29, is from Heilongjiang. They are among the millions of farmers who have gone to the cities to work.

    "Although nobody pays attention to the music, I am singing happily, on streets, under bridges or in wild country, with no credit card, no girlfriend or a home with hot water, but only a guitar." They sing, "It is just like the life we live now." Wang said, "We are poor farmers, and you know people won't care about us."

    Their song is loved by millions of Chinese, including the people who are also from the countryside. Many people said they cried after listening to the song.

    Wang came to Beijing in 2000 and has tried many jobs. Each month after he paid 600 yuan for the house and bought food, there was little money left." I love music, and also want to make more money." Wang said." I never dreamed of standing on such a big stage."

    Liu came to Beijing in 2002. "I wanted to try my luck in the big city." He said. And now their dreams of music have come true. They are really the luckiest of all the farmers in China.
