Recently, my family and I visited Kaikoura, a coastal town in New Zealand. The first evening it seemed a1 place, but the next day I remembered what I'd 2about it in a magazine. It was often 3 to see dolphins (海豚) and whales there!

    My family and I 4  on a grey, windy morning on a small boat. 5, the sky turned blue ten minutes later. Soon we  6 the place where we were supposed to go swimming. Amazingly, a dolphin kept following me, but then changed his 16and swam in another direction. It really made me realize how 17these animals are.

    About an hour later, it was time for us to get back onto the 18. I really enjoyed myself, but I was a little cold and 19 to leave the water. I noticed that everyone on board was smiling and I realized what a very20moment we'd had.

    A few days ago, I observed a teenager doing yardwork that his dad had told him to do. Instead of doing the task1, he wandered around there for hours,2 to himself and doing a bad job.

    The person he hurt the most was himself. His dad was trying to teach him 3and how to do a good job. As a result of his4attitude, he spent the whole afternoon finishing a task that should have taken one or two hours. And the yard 5 wasn't clean enough when he got through.

    He6his day because of his attitude. And his dad was 7with him, and the boy's bad mood ended up8 the whole family that day.

    A sweet lady was working in a fast-food9. The minute I walked in, she welcomed me10. She smiled as she took my order, and then as we11 for the food, she talked with me. There was a delay, during which I sat there hearing her singing as she14 her tasks behind the counter.

    She wasn't making a large salary, and she didn't have a powerful15, either. In addition, she stood on her feet for a long shift each day, often dealing with 16customers. But she chose to be joyful.

    I want to17from her. I want to do my best, even when there's no 18 or glory. Other people are watching me19 I might not realize it at the time. I want to bring joy to all those around me. A(n)20can make a great difference.

    When most of us get a text message on our cell phone from an unknown person, we usually say "sorry, 1 number!" and move on. But when Dennis Williams 2 a text that clearly wasn't intended for him, he did something 3.

    At the age of three, I was discovered to be totally deaf.     God has a way of allowing us to be in the right place at the right time.

I walked through the Prudential Center wearing my old black sweatpants and a simple T-shirt. Then the bright lights from the window nearby 1 my eye and I came near to it. The window was 2 with the new collection and some classics. That was when I saw those beautiful but 3 Gucci T-shirts. But then I collected my thoughts and asked myself, "Do I truly 7 the design of them, or do I want them just for 8 (to let my friends and even strangers notice that I have Gucci T-shirts)? After thinking 9, I figured out that those T-shirts aren't really 10 to me and that they wouldn't help me improve myself.

In my opinion, it is 11 to rely on luxuries (奢侈品) to make us feel special. 12, not only do these brands lead us to spend a lot of money, but they also fool us into thinking these items are going to make us get 13 by a particular group. A sense of true 14 should come from what you have added to the world and how you have 15 other people's lives in a good way.
