Once upon a time, a wealthy villager hid a huge piece of gold in a nearby rice field to protect it from robbers（强盗）.

 Many years later, the wealthy man died and no one else knew about the gold. One day , a poor farmer began to plough（犁）the field. After ploughing for some time, his plough struck（碰、撞）the long forgotten treasure.

    At first, he thought it must be a very hard tree root. However, when he went closer to look, he saw that it was a large piece of beautiful shining gold.

    Waiting until midnight, the farmer started to take the gold home. He tried to lift the gold but it was too heavy. He tried to pull it out with ropes, but it was so huge that he could hardly move it. He became frustrated and thought how lucky he was to have found treasure, but unlucky too, as he could not move it. He even tried kicking the gold but it would not budge!

    He sat down and began to use his head. He decided to break the gold into smaller pieces. This would enable him to carry the gold easily.

He thought to himself, “ I will use one part for my daily needs, I will save the second part for a rainy day. I will invest（投资）the third part in my farming business. I will use the fourth part to help the poor and needy.”

    Follow this, he calmly divided the huge piece of gold into smaller pieces. Finally, he took all the gold home easily and lived happily ever after.

    Nearly all students want to have a good memory so that they can study well. Yan Jiashuo, a 12-year-old girl, is quite lucky. She has received the honour of" International Master of Memory".

    Less than 300 people have been honoured as

    "International Master of Memory". Yan Jiashuo is the youngest among them.

    Yan Jiashuo always has a good memory. And the good memory comes from good training. When she was 4 years old, her parents asked her to recite ancient poems and books. She has practised a lot.

    So when she is at school, it is easy and quick for her to recite texts in class. What's more, she loves reading. When she was in the third grade, she could read one book a day.

    Yan Jiashuo is good at not only Chinese, but also Maths. For her, numbers are not boring at all. She can make up stories with these numbers.

    She compares remembering a lot of numbers to watching a film. Every group of two numbers is imagined to be a picture of the story. And these pictures are made up into a film in her mind. She said everyone could have a good memory by training and there were plenty of ways to train your memory.

②When I was still studying in China, my school held a singing competition. I entered it because I really loved singing. I sang with a girl named Jenny. She's one of my friends.

③Unluckily, I was nervous so I forgot the lyrics for a moment when we sang. I was standing on stage, looking pale in the face. We lost the competition. I felt terribly sorry, but Jenny tried to comfort me and said,"There will be another chance."

④After about a week, our school's art festival began. I decided to enter it. The first person I thought of to join me was Jenny, although I wasn't sure if she would like to. But while I was asking other people to join me, she said she would join as well. We decided to sing the song See You Again at the festival because I would leave for the UK after I finished the performance. We prepared for it for a long time.

⑤Finally, the day of the festival arrived. As I walked into my class, people started clapping for me. Someone had written "Sally, Come On!" on the board. My classmates made cards for me. After I completed my performance, everyone cheered for me.

⑥It was a really unforgettable and touching afternoon. I want to thank Jenny, who didn't give up on me when I felt down. I want to thank my friends for helping me, and I really want to thank all of my classmates who were with me in my two middle school years.

Hi, boys and girls! I'm a student of Jingwai Mingde Primary School in Yunnan. The school has a history of 15 years. Now there are about 1,000 teachers and students in my school. I think my school is really cool.
