J.K. Rowling is the writer of Harry Potter, which is now one of the best­sellers in the world. She 1 born in Bristol on July 31st, 1965. She has one sister who is two years2than her. Both girls loved 3to their father read bedtime stories. They especially loved stories about magical worlds. Rowling wrote her first story 4the age of six.

    On a long train trip in 1990, an idea came to her. She wanted to write about a boy who had magic but he himself didn't know it. In 1992, Rowling began5 the first Harry Potter book for young 6.It appeared in June, 1997. The book was a great success. And the film came out in November, 2001. Now the Harry Potter series is 7with people of all ages and about sixty 8 books were sold in 200 countries. In this series, Harry is an ordinary boy: polite, friendly, brave and clever. Last Tuesday I took my two daughters, aged four and five, to town by1. It began to rain hard so I decided I would leave the children in the car before I went quickly into a shop. I2 the girls not to touch anything and told them I would be3 within a few minutes. Then I 4 all the doors and 5 them happily looking out of the window.

I returned to the car in less than five minutes but the girls had disappeared! I could hardly believe my eyes. The car doors were6 locked, the windows 7 shut and on the back seat were only two coats. I was8 and ran to the comer of the street where there was no9 of them. I rushed up to an10 lady nearby and asked 11 she had seen two small girls but she said" No". Feeling sick with fear, I sat on the driver's seat, and. 12to stop trembling (颤抖). Suddenly, I heard a merry laugh behind me. I got out of the car, ran round to open the boot (汽车后备箱) and there inside were two very red-faced and. 13 children. They had obviously pulled out the back seat, 14 behind it and then they were unable to push the seat forward again. With tears in my15, I leaned forward and pulled their ears.

It was Christmas Eve in 1971. Juliana Koepcke was 1 over the Peruvian rainforest with her family.

The plane started shaking heavily, and her mother 2 a flashing red light as she looked out the passenger window. She looked over to Juliana and said, "That's the 3 . It's all over." The plane started jumping up and down quickly before falling towards the 4 . A few moments later, Juliana found herself tied to her 5 , falling down.

Then came the 8 part-surviving(生存) the Amazon rainforest until she could find help. Maggots(蛆虫) made their way into the cuts on her body, and she was 9 to pick them out from her wounds one by one. The 10 was terrible as the maggots tried to get further into the wound. She 11 out about 30 maggots.

Ten days into her fight for survival, she could hardly 12 . She decided to float(漂浮) a-long the bank of a large river. Before long she saw a small boat moving towards her. The boat was full of local fishermen. They pulled Juliana out of the 13 before taking her to a local camp to provide first aid. Luckily, Juliana 14 making a full recovery(恢复) from her injuries.

The most positive(乐观的) person I have ever seen is my dad! He is so positive that I do not1 hearing a single word from him which is related(相关的) to hopelessness!

Unlike most moms and dads, my dad never says things that make me feel2 He is always there to give me encouragement and help. 3 I do wrong things, he always tells me what's right in a positive way. For example, if I am in4 he often tells me to open the books he bought me. Then he asks me to read the 5 that can help me with the problems I'm facing. After that, we have a6 together.

Every morning, my grandmother goes out with {#blank#}4{#/blank#} friends. They go to the park to sing  {#blank#}5{#/blank#} dance. In the park, they talk and laugh happily. After coming back from the park, she has a  {#blank#}6{#/blank#} breakfast and then she goes to the Home of Old People. She learns to {#blank#}7{#/blank#} photos there. In the afternoon, she plays the violin or draws {#blank#}8{#/blank#} at home. After supper, she watches TV and learns about the world. She goes to bed {#blank#}9{#/blank#} eight o' clock. She never stay s up. She likes to share her ways of keeping {#blank#}10{#/blank#} with others. She lives a healthy and happy life.
