On his first day he was inside a church taking photos when he noticed a golden telephone on the wall with a sign that read "$10,000 per call". Jay wasintriguedso he asked a priest (牧师) what the telephone was used for. The priest told him that it was a direct (直接的) line to heaven（天堂） and that for $10,000 you could talk to God. Jay thanked the priest and went along his way.

    Next stop was in Des Moines, and there at a very large church, he saw the same looking golden telephone with the same sign under it. A nearby nun（修女）told him that it was a direct line to heaven and that for $10,000 he could talk to God.

    Jay decided to travel to Australia to see if they had a similar phone. He arrived at Western Australia, and again, in the church he entered, there was the same looking golden telephone, but this time the sign under it read "40 cents per call."

    Jay was a little surprised and asked the priest about the sign. 'Father（神父） Brian, I travelled all over the world and I saw this same golden telephone in many churches. I know it is a direct line to Heaven, but in all of them price was $10,000 per call. Why is it so cheap here?'

    Father Brian smiled and answered, 'My son, you're in Australia now - this is Heaven, so it's only a local call.'

    For a baby, to be born on a plane might be a lucky thing. Just a few days ago, a mother gave birth to a baby boy on a plane of Buraq Air and the new baby didn't need to pay for the air tickets for a lifetime from the air company.

    The new mother was on a flight (航班）from Libya to Niger. For some people, being born on a plane sounds a bit strange and even a bit dangerous. But luckily the child was healthily born with the help of the flight's workers. To thank the workers on the plane, the excited mother decided to give her baby the same name as the captain (机长). Burap Air is in Libya and the air company offers flights to Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.

    This isn't the first time a baby was born on a plane and got such a lucky prize. Last month, a baby was born on a flight from Dubai to Manila. The air company celebrated the birth of the baby and gave her a present of one million miles free flight.

    So sometimes where a new baby is born seems to be really important.

    Michelle, a famous lady, has found that more than 25% students are too fat in her country. It is a very serious problem. So she starts a health program to deal with it. The health program is to reduce the amount(数量)of fat students today and in the future.

    The program will get families, schools, newspapers, magazines and TVs to join together and deal with the students' obesity so that students will be at a healthier weight. The program includes: food stores should sell healthier food: schools should serve healthier meals with less fat and should also offer gym classes.

    The lady is trying to fight the students' obesity all over the country because it can cause illnesses and higher health cost. She wants the students to eat right, exercise more and control their weight. She also wants the students to understand it is important to have less sweet food, and drink water, milk and fresh juices, but not to choose cokes. At the same time, she has also set a good example by planting a vegetable garden. She hopes that the garden will encourage more people to plant one, too.

    The health program is really helpful to the students today and in the future. As she says, we cannot always build the future for youth, but we can build our youth for the future.

Have you ever been to Thailand(泰国)? It is a country in Southeast Asia. I've been in Thailand for a few days with my parents. We are here for a holiday. 

Now we are staying in Bangkok. It is the capital of Thailand and it is a very interesting place to visit. Yesterday we visited some places of interest in the city. They were great!①今天早上，我们去购物。Bangkok was a wonderful place to shop for jewelry（珠宝）and clothes. My mother bought some beautiful dresses. My father and I bought some fashionable T-shirts. 

Thailand is called "Land of Smiles" because people here are very friendly. And it's true! When we eat in the restaurants in Bangkok, the waiters are really nice and they are always smiling.②Thai food is delicious, but it is a little spicy（辛辣的）for me. You can also get Chinese food here because a lot of Chinese people came to live in Bangkok many years ago. Chinese food is very good, and it isn't as spicy as Thai food. American food can also be found in Bangkok. 

Shashiyu was once a poor village in Hebei Province, but now it has changed into a rich and livable place. 

In the 1940s, villagers in Shashiyu had little food and few clothes, but they had a strong wish for a better life. The Party secretary of Shashiyu encouraged his villagers to do their best to pull themselves out of this poor living condition. "In the ancient Chinese story, Yu Gong could move mountains with his strong will and hard work, why can't we? Nobody was born to be poor. " Hearing his words, the villagers decided to make a difference. 

Led by the Communist Party of China, the villagers carried water and soil to their village from faraway places to improve their land. From 1966 to1971, they reclaimed(开垦) lots of land and greatly improved their lives. 

However, the village faced a new problem 20 years later as the environment became heavily polluted by chemical plants and mine refineries(精炼厂) built in 1990s. The polluting factories were shut down in 2004, and villagers started grape planting, which soon became a main industry in Shashiyu. 

In 2009, the city- level government invested(投资) over 1 million yuan to change the village's exhibition hall into a museum in memory of development efforts made by earlier generations. 

After 10 years, the village was called"National Forest Village". 

The Party secretary said that the village has started a yearly tourism festival since 2015 to attract travellers to pick grapes. "The grapes could be sold at a better price once Shashiyu becomes famous through this festival. Our villagers can then live a even better life, " he said. 

In Africa there is a beautiful river. A little crocodile(鳄鱼) called Mamba lives here with her 1 . Every day, Mamba hunts(捕猎) fish and frogs for food. How 2 she lives!

One day, she is swimming down the river and see a bird. She goes after it and tries to hunt it. "Don't do that, Mamba!" says Mum and Dad Crocodile. "That is the crocodile bird. He can help 3 our teeth. Now open your mouth. "
