    Today we had the honor of invite Professor Hudson, a foreign teacher from Beijing University, to give us an English lesson. All of us were deeply impressing by this unforgettable English lesson. The professor began the class with an amusing English story, that attracted our attention at once. He spoke slowly and clearly so that we could follow her well. Great inspired, most of us took an active part in classroom activities. After class, many students being interviewed spoke highly of him. They said that never they experienced such interesting a class. From his lesson, we came to a conclusion what it is not so difficult to learn English but we find a good way.

    Last week, I took a part in an English speech contest. There are twelve students in the final contest. I was one of the lucky student. Fifteen minutes after my turn, I picked my topic and prepared for it. I wrote down the outlines and organized what I was going to say. However, when I stood in front all the judges and students, I was extreme nervous. Then I took a deep breath to relax me and started my speech. The result was not good, because I regarded it as a challenge, which process was the most important.

    Having learnt a lot from the contest, I am sure I will do it much well next time.

    The American TV show The Voice is one of my most favorite amusement shows. In one hand, I can listen to different styles of music. On the other hand, I can see the singers' stories, who are so inspiring. I was deeply impressed by a musical boy who was from the countryside. If he was very young, he loved to sing while doing the farm work. After work, he learned to play guitar. He liked living on the farm, for the life was simple. The boy brought his guitar to the stage, worn a fashionable hat which made him seem so mysteriously. When the boy sing a song with the guitar, all the judge were astonished by his talent. As a result, he won the game but finally became famous throughout the country.

    I am interested at swimming very much. At first, I went swimming just to keep health. Now my dream was to swim for my country in the Olympics.     This year, our school called on us students to make a good use of our time and do some socially practice during the holiday, so I found a job and began to work in a small restaurant. I thought it was easy, and it turned out to be a hard one by a matter of fact. I spend the whole morning washing dish and setting tables. I didn't have lunch until it was two in the afternoon. After lunch, I immediately began to work again, does the same things until 11 pm. It took myself more than ten hours a day to work there! However, through the hard work, I've come to understand the value of hard work. I've also realized what difficult it is my parents to support the family.     It was my 17th birthday and I was looking forward to see my friends. I arrived at my favorite restaurant, waiting for him. We would have the special birthday dinner. To my great surprise, I found the door was wide open while I arrived home. Nervously, I walk into the dark room. Suddenly, all the light went on and my friends were appeared shouting "surprise".
