Last week, I took a part in an English speech contest. There are twelve students in the final contest. I was one of the lucky student. Fifteen minutes after my turn, I picked my topic and prepared for it. I wrote down the outlines and organized what I was going to say. However, when I stood in front all the judges and students, I was extreme nervous. Then I took a deep breath to relax me and started my speech. The result was not good, because I regarded it as a challenge, which process was the most important.

    Having learnt a lot from the contest, I am sure I will do it much well next time.

    What a morning! I woke up earlier to make sure I had packed everything we needed for this trip. Since it was fall in the U．S., so I had to pack for colder weather. Most of my suitcase was filled with gift for friends and family. I hoped nothing would get lose on the way. The most important item: a camera to take photos. After a light lunch in an airport, I sat down to wait for my flight to boarding. Luckily I had brought reading or writing materials. I was dressed comfortable—jeans and a casual blouse—and ready the long voyage, with an overnight stopover in Tokyo.

    As is known to all, there's increasing number of foreign students coming to China. For example, Violet from Zambia was receiving financial help to study Mandarin at Beijing University at present. Seen many Africans studying in China, she feels extreme inspired. She is also excited by the level of the development in China. As plan, she will study Mandarin for the first year. Then she will go to another school to take courses on Chinese medicine next year and those class will be taught in Mandarin. Most African students express his satisfaction about the Chinese education. Salum from Tanzani studying political science in Shanghai will return back to help his home country before graduation and getting a diploma. He wants to be a link among the Chinese and the people of Tanzania.

    While seating in my chair the other day, I wondered how I could become better person. I knew there was nothing standing in my way in the fact. Therefore, I decided to stop wait for the future to find myself and take action immediately. To begin to find a direction, I try to find my greatest strengths and find out that would bring me joy. I wrote out all my goal, what skills I would need to learn or what steps I would take to achieve them. I believe that I can be very success if I keep trying and work hard.
