{#blank#}1{#/blank#} ⑴The first thing to remember is that when a friend invites you over, you need to arrive on time. If your friend tells you to come "around 3:00", that means you can turn up a little bit after 3:00. But usually it is a good idea to arrive at the right time.

{#blank#}2{#/blank#} ⑵Often it is also nice to bring something to your friend's house. This could be a box of chocolate for you two to share, or maybe a movie that you can watch together. You can also bring some flowers. A little gift is a nice way to show your friend that you are excited to be at his house.

{#blank#}3{#/blank#} ⑶When you visit your friend's house, you may also meet his parents. You should tell them who you are and they may tell you their names, and then they may tell you to call them by their first names. Another way to show respect is to call them Madam or Sir.

{#blank#}4{#/blank#} ⑷As we all know, students should learn how to get on well with others. But in what ways? First of all, we should respect others. Everyone has their own way to do things, so we should understand each other. Besides, it is important for us to communicate with each other. What's more, we should be kind to others and offer necessary help to those who are in trouble.

{#blank#}5{#/blank#} ⑸Everybody has his parents. But not everybody gets on well with his parents. Well, first, we should respect our parents because they bring us up and care for us all the time. Second, we are supposed to do some housework at home. We should help clean the room, cook meals and so on. Third, we should care for them, have a talk with them about their work.

Eduardo reached into his backpack，searching for his mobile phone. He was tired of Aunt Letty spending all day on her chickens，goats，horses，and cows. Worse，he was afraid of having to spend the spring vacation on Aunt Letty's farm. 

Although he disagreed，his parents decided that spending time on the farm would be a great experience for him. They grew up on a farm and believed that responsibility（责任），hard work，and respect for the land were valuable lessons. 

"So，have you ever ridden a horse？"Aunt Letty asked，trying to turn his attention away from his phone. "Hmmm，no. "he answered. "Well，we've got a nice horse I think you'll like. "she said，smiling. 

Eduardo was unhappy that he had to work. Vacations were meant for sleeping late，playing video games，and maybe skateboarding. Without lifting his head，he tried to text a friend. 

"With all the hills and valleys，phones are hard to get a WIFI. " 

Eduardo made a face，but Aunt Letty was right. 

▲. The animals on the farm woke them up，and they had breakfast before sunrise. Then they had to feed the animals. The afternoons were filled with cleanup and caring for the animals. At sunset，when the farm was finally quiet，Aunt Letty reached out her arms and inhaled（吸气），"Just take a deep breath of that sweet country air!"Eduardo，tired from his chores，couldn't enjoy his work. 

On the third day，Aunt Letty announced， "It's time to meet Hercules. "She led Eduardo into the stables（马厩）. Aunt Letty was right again. Hercules was amazing! 

Aunt Letty held her hand open for Eduardo to take. Unwillingly（不情愿地），he let her guide his hand towards Hercules and allowed the big animal to touch his hand. Softly，Hercules rubbed its nose and mouth against him. 

"It feels like velvet（天鹅绒）!"Eduardo smiled. An hour later，Eduardo was offering Hercules carrots. 

That night，as they headed towards the house，Eduardo was excited. His arms spreading wide，he inhaled and said，"Take a breath of that sweet country air!"

Vienna is a beautiful old city on the River Danube in the center of Europe. It's the capital city of Austria and the center of European classical music. In the eighteenth century a lot of musicians came to study and work in Vienna.

In the Strauss family, there were two composers (作曲家) called Johann Strauss: the father and the son. The father, Johann Strauss the elder, wrote and played music for traditional dances, called the waltz. His dance music made him famous all over Europe. The son, Johann Strauss the younger, was also very successful and popular. He wrote over 150 waltzes. In 1867 he wrote The Blue Danube waltz.

Mozart was another very important composer. He was born in Austria in 1756. Before he was six, he played not only the piano but also the violin. His family took him around Europe and he gave concerts in many cities. He wrote hundreds of pieces of music. But he became very poor and died in 1791 when he was only thirty-five. Like Johann Strauss, father and son, he was a great European musician, and many people still think his music is perfect.

I would like to talk about a useful tool. It has helped us  {#blank#}1{#/blank#}  our work. Most of you have used it before. It's a small yellow piece of paper and it is  {#blank#}2{#/blank#}   all over the world. It's the Post-it® note. A Post-it® note is a piece of paper with special glue on the back. You can stick them  {#blank#}3{#/blank#}  anything and the note will stay in place. The notes can be removed (撕下) {#blank#}4{#/blank#}   from any surface. Students like to use them  {#blank#}5{#/blank#}  traditional notebooks in their daily lives.

Eric has a new baseball hat. It is from his sister Kate. The hat is purple and it is beautiful. Eric loves it. He wears(戴) it every week. When he doesn't wear it, he always puts it on his desk. This morning Eric wants(想要) to go and play baseball with his friends. He wants to wear the hat, but the hat is not on the desk. Where is it? Eric looks for it under the sofa, under the chair, in the schoolbag, just everywhere.

"Do you see my hat？" Eric asks his family. No one sees it.

Eric is sad. Because his hat is lost. At that time, his dog Huanhuan comes. And the hat is on his head! He loves the hat, too.

Eric is very happy. He gets the hat and leaves home.
