Recently, I've found many old photos of Mom, Dad, David, me and my first dog Coco. They meant a lot to me. I wondered how to keep them forever. Luckily, my son used a new app to clear up and improve some of the old photos. Looking at them brought back so many loving and happy memories. I even used one as my computer screen saver(屏保).

It is a picture of me sitting in my favorite chair,across from the wood stove(炉子) next to a bookcase full of old books. I am wearing my special Snoopy shirt and hugging Coco. There is a big smile on my face and a joyful shining light in my eyes. It was how I spent a lot of my winter afternoons as a girl, hugging Coco and reading an old book.

It is surprising how 60 years later that girl still lives inside of me. I still love comfortable chairs, warm stoves, Snoopy clothes, hugging dogs and reading books on cold winter days. But when I look in the mirror now, all I see is a thin face, grey hair, and lots of wrinkles(皱纹). The only thing that hasn't completely changed is the eyes. They are hiding behind glasses now and full of wisdom(智慧) given by ages. But they still have that same joyful shining light.

Looking at the little girl smiling at me from the computer screen and that 66-year-old woman looking back at me in the mirror can be a little bit strange at times. They look so different. However, they are both me. We can't stop getting older, but we can remain both joyful and young at heart forever.

Rock Island Public House

This drive-in place is a little small, but all of Rock Island Public House's screens are free—you'll just have to show up early to get your place. It is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening. People can pay to get drinks and food from the theater.

Starting from the 1950s, this drive-in theater is open no later than 6:30 p. m. each day and tickets there are first come, first served. But thankfully the theater has room for 350 cars. You can buy great food from snacks to full meals in the theater.

In fact, I am happy to be alone at home for a few days. In my o{#blank#}5{#/blank#}, being home alone is enjoyable. I can learn to take care of myself. I can also read my favourite books. 

 Dancing is popular all over the world. People usually dance in theaters and parks. But Yang Liu,a woman in Guizhou, dances in an unusual place. Her stage is a single bamboo pole.

 Yang is a performer of bamboo drifting(独竹漂). It is a traditional skill in the girl's hometown. In the past, the local people crossed the rivers by riding on a bamboo pole. Now, bamboo drifting has developed into a folk(传统民间的) sport.

 Yang started to learn bamboo drifting at the age of seven. The bamboo pole is very slippery(滑的) and it never completely stops moving. Yang fell into the water again and again. But the girl didn't want to give up. She always got back up on the pole and tried again. She practiced hard every day for three years. Finally, she was able to keep her balance on the pole.

 But Yang didn't just stop there. She wanted to become a dancer on a bamboo pole. The girl practiced many difficult movements on the pole. She failed countless times, but she never stopped trying. Her hard work finally paid off. Now Yang, 24, has made a name for herself as a dancer on a bamboo pole. People can't believe their eyes whenever they watch her performances. Through Yang's dancing, many people now know more about bamboo drifting. They have discovered the beauty of this traditional skill.

Do you know International Day of Families? It's May 15th and it's a day for all {#blank#}1{#/blank#} . In my family, I have my parents and my brother. They love me very much. And I love {#blank#}2{#/blank#} , too. We always do some interesting things on this day to get a {#blank#}3{#/blank#} from work.

 This year, we have a family trip to {#blank#}4{#/blank#} it. We go to a nice park(公园). I make some{#blank#}5{#/blank#} for them to show my love. My mother likes vegetables. She thinks they are healthy. So l make {#blank#}6{#/blank#} salad for her. My father {#blank#}7{#/blank#} chicken and hamburgers, so I make chicken hamburgers for him. My brother loves ice-cream and he is fat. {#blank#}8{#/blank#} I don't make it for him. I make salad for him, too. He thinks they {#blank#}9{#/blank#} delicious and eats them all.

I also buy some things for my family. My parents love sports. So I buy two pairs of sports shoes for them. My brother is a student. I buy some school things like dictionaries and notebooks for him.
