"Don't forget to study for the Chinese history test on Friday," Mrs. Green said to the class. Julie closed her book and sighed (叹息). Julie was a perfect monitor and could organize all kinds of activities. However, she was 1 in history.

The following day, she went to the library and tried remembering all the facts and data (数据). 2 it was useless. Just then Julie looked up and she found Maria from 3 class was seated at a nearby table.

Julie joined Maria who was sitting with some cards and some coloured pencils. Each card 4 a colourful picture. Julie was curious (好奇的), "I thought you were studying history." "You're right. I think I need to be 5 because it's difficult to remember so many things. I like art, and the pictures help me recall facts," Maria said.

"I see," said Julie, with interest. After thinking for a while, an idea came to her mind. She had rich 6 in organizing big events, starting from making small plans step by step. 7 did she connect all of them at last? Mind maps!

"Hey, Maria," said Julie. "How about this: I 8 these history events into different types and use a mind map to connect each type together. And you draw the pictures for these types as their explanation." "That's cool! Let's start right now!" Maria agreed 9 .

"Sure," said Julie. At that time, studying didn't seem so 10 . And what you need to do is to find out what are good at and make full use of it.

The English teacher came into the classroom with test papers in his hands. He said with a smile, "I know there are too many tests for you these days, but the test today is very1 .It is different from your other tests." The teacher started to hand out the test papers to each student.

There was only a small black " X " in the middle of the paper. The students were very 2 to see that.The teacher noticed the students' surprise.Then he said, "I want you to 3 what you see there. You must finish it by yoursclves."

All the students 4 about it hard and then wrote down their answers quietly. The next day,   the teacher said, "You only paid attention to the black ' X  ' , but nobody wrote about the white paper."

The whole class listened 5 , because they worried that they might fail the exam.

Then the tcacher said, "Don't worry. I just want you to think about your 6 .The white paper is like your whole life and the black ' X  ' is just like the problems in your daily life."7 , the students understood what the test was about.

Life is a wonderful 8  , full of love and care. If you only care about the problems, you'll never 9 that they are much smaller than everything else life gives you. So it' s better to look on the bright side, 10 each moment, and find happiness in life.
