One morning I got up late. I quickly jumped out of the bed， washed my face， then hurried to the bus stop. As soon as I got on the bus， it started raining. Suddenly the bus stopped. Something was wrong with it.{#blank#}1{#/blank#}， so I ran to school. I reached the classroom but I was all wet. The physics teacher had already begun his lesson.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}. All the students were a little afraid of him. I liked neither him nor his physics lessons.{#blank#}3{#/blank#}. “I'm very sorry， Mr. Smith. I'm late，” I said with a red face.

    “It's you， Jim，” Mr. Smith said angrily. "I've told you not to be late， but you…" he suddenly stopped and looked at my wet clothes. He turned to the class and said， "I'm very sorry， my boys and girls.”{#blank#}4{#/blank#}. “Now take off your wet coat and put on this one or you'll catch a cold，” he said kindly.

I went to my seat with Mr. Smith's jacket on.{#blank#}5{#/blank#}. I found， for the first time， physics was so interesting and how well I could understand it!

    Vienna is a beautiful old city on the River Danube in the center of Europe. It's the capital city of Austria and the center of European classical music. In the 18th century a lot of musicians came to study and work in Vienna.

    In the Strauss family, there were two composers called Johann Strauss: the father and the son. The father, Johann Strauss the elder, wrote and played music for traditional dances, called the waltz. His dance music made him famous all over Europe. The son, Johann Strauss the younger, was also very successful and popular. He wrote over 150 waltzes. In 1866 he wrote The Blue Danube waltz.

    Mozart was another very important composer. He was born in Austria in 1756. Before he was six, he played not only the piano but also the violin. His family took him around Europe and he gave concerts in many cities. He wrote hundreds of wonderful pieces of music. But he became very poor and died in 1791 when he was only 35. Like Johann Strauss, father and son, he was a great European musician, and many people still think his music is perfect.

Pandas are one of China's treasures. They are so lovely that many foreign tourists come to China to see them every year. 

Some of the foreigners even choose to {#blank#}1{#/blank#} pandas. Abe Nobuko from Japan, is one of them. She came to Sichuan many years ago and worked {#blank#}2{#/blank#} a panda keeper. When Abe Nobuko was three years old, her grandmother bought {#blank#}3{#/blank#} a toy panda. The little girl {#blank#}4{#/blank#} it very much. She went everywhere with it. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} Abe grew up, she learned a lot about pandas. 

One day, her mother {#blank#}6{#/blank#} to her, "You like pandas so much, Why don't you find a {#blank#}7{#/blank#} that has something to do with pandas?" Abe thought it was a great idea. In order to work in the panda zoo, Abe learned {#blank#}8{#/blank#} in college. After graduation, she came to China to study about the animal protection. Three years later, she started working at a panda base in Sichuan. 

Abe does her best to {#blank#}9{#/blank#} the pandas at the base are healthy and happy. The job is {#blank#}10{#/blank#} , but Abe never complains (抱怨). "I love pandas and I love this job," she says.

Last term, we went to a group of islands for our school trip. It was exciting at first, but by the end of the day, I'd say it was really a 1 journey. 

We got up early and jumped onto the boats. As the boat moved on, I felt the breeze(微风) rushed into my face. The first island we arrived at was called the Island of the Pregnant Maiden. We were allowed into the water 2 about half an hour, and it was fun playing with my classmates. 

All was fine until one of my water shoes 3 into the water. So I had to do the rest of the trip with only one 4 on. 

5 we first walked through the forest, I thought it was a nice walk. But with only one shoe, my foot came across either cold shards(玻璃碎片)or hot stones along the way. My foot 6 badly with every step I took. But then something magical happened-I discovered a seashell the size of my hand! I felt like I had found gold and all the pain was worth it. 

The trip was a precious(宝贵的)experience-the beautiful sea views and the beach treasure hunt were great moments for me. I've learned an important 7 from that day. That is to not focus on the bad memories, 8 instead to remember the cheerful feelings and value them.
