People know the dangers of fires. It's good for a family to learn how to prepare for a fire. Here are some suggestions:

    {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. Smoke from a fire causes the alarm to go off. The alarm makes a loud sound. The sound tells everyone to leave the house at once.

    {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. They should know all the ways out of the house. If there is a fire, everyone follows the plan to get out. Part of the plan is to check all the windows to make sure they can be opened easily.

    Buy fire extinguishers (灭火器) in the house, Everyone in the family should know how to use them.

    {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. They do fire practice because they teach children about fire safety. Everyone in the family should know the following fire rules:

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. The fire can grow more quickly if you open the door. Stay close to the floor! Smoke can be more dangerous than fire. The best air is near the floor because smoke rises.

    {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. First, stop! Don't run! The fire burns faster because of more air. Drop! Fall to the floor. Then roll! Turning over and over will make the fire go out. Put a blanket (毯子) around you to keep air away from the fire that may still be on you.

    A wise family is ready all the time. If there is a fire, don't forget to call 119 for help.

    When we have a conversation with someone, we may be using more body language than words. However, the same body language may mean different things in different countries. (A)sometimes, that's, understand, correctly, why, don't, each other, people. Pointing to one part of the body can mean differently in different cultures. For example, in the USA people point to their heads when they think someone is clever. However, in Europe it means “He or she is stupid or something is wrong with his or her head”. In our Chinese culture, nodding our head up and down means “yes” and shaking our head from side to side means “no”. However, in parts of India, Greece and Turkey, it means just the opposite. In England or the USA, when you raise your hand and make a circle with the thumb and the second finger, it means “You're all right or everything is OK”. However, if we do this in France or Belgium, it means “You're worth zero”. In Greece or Turkey, we should not make this gesture. Or we are thought to be very rude.

    The meaning of gestures can also change over time. In the 1960s, the “V” sign meant “peace”. However, during World War Ⅱ, it meant “victory”.

    (B)Though the meaning of body language is different, there are some expressions having the same meaning throughout the world, such as smiling and crying.

C. Skateboarding is fun. I started to learn to skateboard when I was five years old. Now I go skateboarding four or five times a week.

    Do you often think of life in the future? Will we study at home? Will we fly to the moon easily? Everyone may have his or her views about that. Life in the future will be very different from life today. Between then and now many changes will take place but what wig the changes be?

    There will be changes in our food. Maybe no one will eat meat. Instead, people will eat more and more fruit and vegetables. People will stay away from junk food. People will be much healthier.

    Computers will be smaller and much more useful. Maybe we will even put the computer into our pockets. There will be at least two computers in every family. And computer studies will be one of the most important subjects at school.

    Work in the future will be different, too. Dangerous and hard work can be done by robots. People will work fewer hours that they do now. And they will have more free time for spots, watching TV and traveling.

    I am from India. India is a large country in southern Asia. It has the second largest population in the world. People in India speak 16 different languages. The main language in our country is Hindi(印地语).

    Do you know Indian food? Indian people think it is good if it is hot. My favourite food is lamb(羊羔肉)with bread and spice. I think it is the most delicious food in the world.

    Only about one third of the people in India know how to read and write. Some parents only send their sons to school. I am very lucky because I know how to read and write.

    The India elephants are very famous around the world. They eat many kinds of fruits, like bananas. An elephant eats between 330 and 350 pounds of food and drinks lots of water each day. So they have to travel to new places to get new food and water. A mother elephant always takes good care of her baby. When she is away, other elephants will look after her baby.
