②In fact, many cartoon films draw adults' attention. For example, Anomalisa, a film for adults, has been a success. And there is also the chance that adults will love a kid's film more, for example, The Incredibles. So, what is the reason(原因) behind it?

③First, a lot of cartoon films are really good. Plenty of gifted people join hands in making films like Toy Story and Ice Age. Screenwriters, programmers and musicians are all working together to bring the best result.

⑤Cartoon films have well-written roles facing difficult situations. For example, Woody has to deal with the fact that he may not be Andy's favourite toy in Toy Story. Sometimes the stories are even better than those in adult films. So, it's not surprising that adults will love cartoon films.

⑥Moreover, by watching a cartoon film, we forget the boring life and leave our problems behind for the moment. Who would refuse to have his own personal Baymax (from Big Hero 6), a man who shares a hug every time there was sadness? If only our lives could be full of good-natured animals and brave children!

Nowadays, it's very usual for people {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(order) takeout, but did people eat takeout in ancient times?

Maybe you don't think so. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} fact, there was take out in the Song Dynasty (960 – 1279).  According to history books,  Emperor Xiaozong (1127–1194) liked ordering takeout late at night. His servants{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(go) out to pick up the dishes and bring them back to the palace.

Common people also ordered takeout. The owners of restaurants got their waiters to go out into the streets and ask loudly which dishes could {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(send) that day. People could then place an order. Delivery(快递)  {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(work) would bring food to their homes later. In the famous Song Dynasty painting Along the River During the Qingming Festival(《清明上河图》).  {#blank#}6{#/blank#}takeout worker is doing delivery work.  We can easily see the man {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(walk) with food in his hand in a hurry.

People at that time even had boxes for takeout dishes. {#blank#}8{#/blank#} they weren't like normal boxes. They were long{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(wood) boxes with several layers(层).  People also used plates made of two layers of porcelain(瓷). Hot water could be put between the first layer and the{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(two). In this way, they could keep the dishes warm.

 One American university used a robot as a teacher to help students with their problems. And none of the{#blank#}1{#/blank#} (student) knew that their new teacher was actually a robot at the very start.

 Jill Watson, an IBM— designed robot, has been helping graduate students at the Georgia Institute of Technology solve problems with their design projects(项 目). When answering {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (they) questions, Jill seems to be an excellent teacher. She can give wonderful answers quickly. Her voice {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (sound) natural and she usually says good words to the students.After five months, the students  {#blank#}4{#/blank#} ( tell) that their" teacher" was a robot, and many were surprised.

 Now a lot of students like to ask questions {#blank#}5{#/blank#} their school's website. It usually takes teachers too much time {#blank#}6{#/blank#}   ( answer) them. That's why the university came up with the idea of using Jill Watson. It's a much{#blank#}7{#/blank#}( fast) way to help the students with their problems.

 Jill can quickly find {#blank#}8{#/blank#} ( possibility) answers to the questions on her own computer and make sure they are all right. She uses her smart computer brain to search for the best answers. After that, she tells the students in an electronic voice that sounds like  {#blank#}9{#/blank#}​​​​​​​ famous actress. She was trained well{#blank#}10{#/blank#}  being thrown into the mix with nine other teachers. Thanks to Jill's fast and right answers, students have a good helper for their studies.

According to a research more than 130 billion pounds of uneaten food go to waste in Laura's country each year. That is about 30% of the yearly food supply (供应). It is a sad fact especially when you consider how many families and homeless people are in hunger.

When Laura saw her school dining hall throw away food that was not eaten at all every day, she came up with an idea. She started a project to help her school dining hall to give away uneaten food to homeless shelters (庇护所) in her community. In the past three years, the same project has spread to other schools and some fast food restaurants throughout the city. The project is called Feed& find, and has already fed thousands of people in her city.

How does it work? Through an app, Feed& Find matches local homeless shelters with school dining halls and restaurants that have uneaten food to provide. When dining halls or restaurants have uneaten food left, they can use the app to share the information about the food. A truck driver working for the project is then sent to pick it up and take it to a shelter.

Pretty cool, right? It's not surprising that people in other cities have got in touch with Laura hoping that she could have developed similar projects for their communities.

Some people, however, have concerns about the safety of the uneaten food. They think such food may not be clean enough. Still, this project is a clever way to help solve the problem of food waste and it helps those in need.

The World Environment Day is an important event setting on June 5th every year. The earth{#blank#}1{#/blank#} all kinds of pollution and people from all over the world face great challenges. For {#blank#}2{#/blank#} people, we need to solve a lot of problems, such as growing population and air pollution. In order to make our living environment better, different {#blank#}3{#/blank#} need to be developed. For example, we can improve public transportation and search for new energy. We can control the birth rate and use resources(资源) {#blank#}4{#/blank#} . Remember: Work together, we can win a brighter future for {#blank#}5{#/blank#} .
