He uses his stage name, Rain, when he works as a singer and dancer. His real name is JungJi-hoon and he is also a f{#blank#}1{#/blank#} actor.

    He showed his interest in dancing ever since he was in the 6th grade. As a teenager, he was part of the boy band (乐队) group c{#blank#}2{#/blank#} "fan club". Years later, Park Jin-young (Korean singer) took Rain under his wing and trained him for years in dancing and singing. During those training years Rain was not at home much and didn't have enough money, so at times he had to train w{#blank#}3{#/blank#} meals.

    Finally in 2002 the song Bad Guy made him famous. Following the s{#blank#}4{#/blank#} of the first album (专辑), he came back with a new set of music in his 2nd album. In 2004, he acted in a successful play called Full House which was welcomed in other Asian countries such as the Philippines, Indonesia, China, Malaysia, Thailand and Japan. His performance in Full House has won him the Best Actor Award at the KBS Acting Awards. Singer Park Jin-young once said to his friends, "I was always wondering whether Rain understood w{#blank#}6{#/blank#} I said because he never said anything when I scolded (责备) him. One day I entered his room, and was surprised to discover a wall covered with notes. Every note was filled with my words and advice. My family is from Berlin.We moved to Boston because my father went to teach in a middle school in Boston.

At that time，I already knew English very well but I still felt1 when I thought about being in a strange place.For one thing，I would not have a friend in Boston.For another，as the oldest of the three children in my family2 by setting a good example to my younger brother and sister.

How did I do with the goals on my list？Not so well.First，I did not make anew friend every day，because good friendships 6 time.You can't make friends the way you play baseball.Second，I worked hard but found that some subjects were easier for me than others.And that was OK.Third，I tried my best in all sports7 a leg while running.And as for goal number 8 .I learned that my brother and sister wanted to live their own life in Boston without their older brother's intrusiveness （干扰）．Actually，they've probably adjusted（调整）better than I have.

So I decided that I needed a new list.

There are different opinions about who invented the umbrella. Some people say that the people of ancient Egypt invented it, some say the Romans invented it and some say Luban's wife invented it in ancient China. There's even an interesting story about its invention in China.

One day, she saw some kids playing in the rain, and each kid held a big lotus leaf over the head to protect themselves from getting wet. That gave her great inspiration. Then, she made the first umbrella in ancient China.

Since the umbrella was invented, it has been part of people's lives in every corner of the world. Right now, there are many kinds of umbrellas, such as beach umbrellas, kid umbrellas and market umbrellas.

How many umbrellas are made every year in the world? Maybe millions or even more. One interesting thing is that most umbrellas in the world are made in China. Shangyu in ZhejiangProvince alone has more than 1,000 umbrella factories and it is called"China's Umbrella City".

My wife's birthday falls at the beginning of spring. On that day, I came home from work, stopped her from entering the kitchen and asked her to eat out. "Has Lily called?" she asked. I shook my head. The atmosphere(气氛) at the dinner was oppressive. My wife kept glancing at her phone, showing no signs of appetite( 胃口 ).

Early the next morning, my wife got up, dark rings around her eyes. We only have one child. When Lily still lived at home, every year we would start the grand preparations days in advance for her birthday. And after she left for college, my wife would call her from time to time. How could she ignore(忽视) all our love and forget her mum's birthday? On the way to work, I texted Lily, "Your mum didn't sleep well last night."

Lily just stayed two hours in care of missing her classes. Seeing Lily boarding the train, my wife started blaming me for that message, yet in a better mood. I did feel I handled this matter perfectly both for my wife and my child's growth.

Later, I called my parents and told them about it. I never thought they would respond with a long silence, and then said,"How many times have you forgotten our birthdays? Has either of us ever complained?"

Molly and her friend Bella play in the playground. They should take turns (轮流) on the swing (秋千). Molly counts to 100 when Bella is on the swing. Bella doesn't get off the swing. "Bella! I count to 100. It's my turn!" says Molly. "You count too fast. It's still my turn," Bella says. Molly is unhappy. She wants a turn on the swing, but her teacher always wants them to try to solve the problem (解决问题) first. What can she try? She decides to try using an "I message". That means (意味着) telling the other person how you're feeling, and what he can do to make it better.

Being part of the basketball group in high school helped me learn the personal and social communication(交际) skills I use today. As a child, playing basketball was my favourite activity or hobby. It was also the way I met a lot of friends that I have now. All my close friends I have met are through(通过) playing basketball. Whether they were on my team, the opposing(对方的) team or just fans in the crowd who liked my play. Basketball not only helped me get friends, but also taught me a lot about life. There are many things of life like basketball. For example, basketball is a team. Like in life you have to work together with other people. The communication skills I learned from basketball help me communicate with friends, parents and bosses at work. 

I started playing basketball in the fifth grade in my primary school. At that time, I was just a 10-year-old boy and I was very quiet and shy. I hardly talked to my teammates. As the years went by, I learned how to communicate with my teammates and my coaches and began to break out of my shell to speak. I started making more and more friends. Basketball helped me meet a lot of new people. By the time I left high school, I had already had a group of friends that I met from playing basketball. 

I remember my every day of high school like it was yesterday.
