Companies these days spend thousands of dollars on their computer security. They buy the best firewalls and computer programs. However, Kevin Mitnick thinks the biggest danger these days is not a weakness in technology.

In the 1990s, Kevin Mitnick was an infamous hacker (黑客). He hacked into government and corporate computer systems. After being punished and sent into prison, Mitnick decided to use his skills in a different way. He started his own computer security firm. He now advises people on how to keep their computers safe.

According to Mitnick, the biggest danger to security is people. However, by this he doesn't mean hackers. In fact, he means the people using the programs. "If an attacker can get one trusting person to give his or her information, the attacker gets in. All that money spent is basically wasted." A hacker can get around everything with just one person within the company.

Unfortunately, people are still too trusting. In a recent test of the US tax office (the IRS), security experts called 100 managers. They posed as IRS computer technicians. The experts were able to fool 35 of the managers. They gave both their passwords and IDs. In the hands of real hackers, this would have been a disaster!

Cao, 36, was born in Beijing, but left home at 20 and has studied and lived in the US, the UK, and France for 12 years. Having seen so many cultures, Cao wanted to use her drawing skills to show the differences she has experienced. So she created the cartoon series Tiny Eyes Comics.

"My experience shows that although travel is much easier and faster today, the distance(距离)between cultures hasn't shortened,"Cao said. She hopes to build bridges and break down misunderstandings between different cultures. One of her cartoons shows water forms in different countries. Three glasses of water are shown. The glass of water from the US has ice; the one from France is full of sparkling water(苏打水); the one from China is steaming(冒热气的).

Cao also uses her cartoons to show different ways of thinking and social customs. She once used her comics to explain why Chinese people prefer to wear masks while western people don't. "Her simple pictures have played a big part in showing Chinese culture," Italian magazine Grazia reported.

Many foreign readers say that Cao's comics help them understand China, while Chinese living abroad have felt that they are seen and understood. She said that this voice has been the biggest motivation(动力) for her to keep creating.

I had my first job at the age of thirteen.I was very1 to make my own pocket money.My parents 2 interfered （干涉） with how I spent it，even when I was spending it foolishly.They3 that by making money，spending it，and learning from the mistakes，I would grow up and become more responsible.

These kinds of experiences are probably impossible for children in many countries，but in the US they are quite13 .Most parents start pushing their children at a young age to do small things by themselves.By the time 14 have finished high school，many American kids have already had part-time jobs and traveled on their own.Maybe they have chosen the university and even 15 their future job and so on.

When I first went to Britain，a lot of things seemed strange to me. For example，people drove on the left side of the road and many people carried an umbrella all the time. There were also many other things that I found really surprising. 

The first thing I noticed was how polite British people were. When I got on the bus，the driver would greet me；when people got off the bus，they would say "Thank you" to the driver；when I went into a shop，I would be greeted by a smiling salesman. 

The family I stayed with were very nice，but their house was full of peculiar（奇怪的）things. Firstly，there were carpets everywhere，even in the bathroom. Also，the bathroom was full of surprises. The first time I tried to wash my hands I burned myself. The cold and hot water came out of different taps. Then，when I tried to dry my hair，I couldn't find a socket（插座） for my hairdryer. Maybe that wasn't such a big surprise. More surprising was the fact that British people didn't take their shoes off when they went into a house—can you imagine？

I guess that for British people all of these things are normal. It's only when you visit a foreign country that you realize that what you think is normal is not. Normality depends on where you are. 

I live in a small town near Xing'an in Guilin. You can't see it on the map of China, because it is too small. The air here is fresh(清新的). There are not many tall buildings in our town. The tallest building is in our school. There are four hundred students and twenty-five teachers in our school. In the front of the school, there is a playground. I often play basketball with my classmates on it. There is a little garden behind our school. And we can grow (种植) beautiful flowers and plant trees there. Next to the garden, there is an orange orchard(果园). You can hear birds singing everywhere. There is a river not far from our school. In summer, we usually go swimming with our teachers in it. We study Chinese, English, math and other subjects at school. The teachers are very nice. We love our school.
