I am Frank. In our western countries, there are four seasons or 365 days in a year. Usually, we sleep 8 hours every day. So we have 122 days for sleeping. Then our study or work time is only 243 days left. But there are 52 weekends in a year. Each weekend is two days. We lose another 104 days a year for work. It takes up about one hour to have breakfast and supper. This comes to 15 days over a year. Four free hours each evening takes up 61 days. But we can't work all the time, so we need holidays. We have to remember that we get 2 days' holiday at Easter, 3 at Christmas and 1at the New Year. There are also 4 Bank holidays. Take those 10 days away and we have 32 days for work. But then we have one and a half hours' lunch every day, and half an hour's coffee break. That comes to 30 days a year. This means that we have only a few days left for study or work every year. Mr. Green has a fruit shop in the town. He is friendly to the people, so people like to buy fruit in his shop. 

One day, Mr. Green brings some grapes home for his grandson Steven because he knows his grandson likes eating grapes best. He puts these grapes in the kitchen. After lunch, he goes back to his shop. That afternoon Steven comes back from school. He looks around for something to eat and finds the fruit. "Great!I am so lucky today!Grapes are the best things in the world!"

Mr. Green gets home after he closed his shop in the evening. When he sees Steven, he asks, "Do you have the grapes?" His grandson answers, "Yes. And I eat all of them. "

"Do you wash them?"

"Oh, I forget. I am too hungry. What should I do?"

A few minutes later, Mr. Green finds that Steven is drinking water. 

"Are you thirsty? Why are you drinking so much water?" asks Mr. Green. 

Steven says, "I want to wash the grapes in my stomach(胃) with the water. "

My mother is a teacher in a middle school. She {#blank#}1{#/blank#} for a long time every day. She gets up, early in the morning. After she brushes her {#blank#}2{#/blank#}, it's about thirty {#blank#}3{#/blank#}running. Then she has breakfast and goes to work.My mother is very busy, so she has lunch at school. After work, she goes home and we have dinner together. Sometimes we eat out. She likes{#blank#}4{#/blank#}a walk or listening to music after dinner. On Saturday evenings, she often goes to the movies with me. It's{#blank#}5{#/blank#}for us. On Sundays, she likes making all kinds of delicious food for the family.

One day,Jack drove his new car very happily down a street. Suddenly from his car came a terrible sound. He felt1 ,so he stopped his car and looked around. A child2 beside his car with a few stones in his hand. He jumped out of the car and found a dent(凹痕) in the door. He was so angry that he caught3 child and shouted at him,"Who are you? Why did you hit my new car4 a stone?"

"Please , sir , please ... I am sorry! But I didn't know 5 else to do," said the child. "I threw the stone because I wanted you6 me. I need your help!" Tears ran down the7 face. He said,"My brother fell out of his wheelchair and was almost under it. He is hurt but I can do nothing8 he is too heavy for me. Could you give me a hand to get him back into his wheelchair?"

After hearing this,Jack hurried to help. He lifted(抬起)the child's brother gently back into his wheelchair. He looked over the boy9 to make sure that he was OK. Then he watched the child push his brother towards10 home. Suddenly the child turned around and bowed(鞠躬) to Jack. Jack felt pleased and excited. He looked at the dent in his car and smiled.
