    It is good to see that today more people have realized the importance exercising and are playing sports regular. But the problem is that there are not enough sports facilities to meet the public growing demand. I love playing basketball and often play with my friends on weekends. Therefore, it is difficult to rent a basketball field and possible to find a free one. It seems that all courts in the city were always full. Weather permitted, we can play in outdoors. But on rainy days or in winter we have to turn to indoor courts. There are not much in my city, and the charge is high. The government should build more public sports facilities, so easier access will encourage more people participate in sports.

    To show our love for poor kids lived in earthquake-hit areas, our school hold a special activity the other day in our school lecture hall. Its purpose was to making sure those poor kids have a warm winter. All the teachers and students in our school took an actively part in this activity. We gave away 400 pieces of clothes and 200 pairs of shoe altogether. After be sorted, they will be sent to those in the need. I believe what they did will make a great difference to those poor kids.     The winter holiday is coming. I as well as Li Ming are going to do something meaningful. What can be seen, the Yellow River is not as cleaner as it used to be. People throw a large amount of rubbishs into the river every day. Besides, many factories pour a great deal of waste water into it, thus cause a serious water pollution.     Laughing is one of life's most simple pleasure. It is free. You can do it anywhere. Like the flu, laughter can spread easy among people. Often when we hear someone laughing in crowded room or a packed train, we start laughing too—even if we have no idea how.

    In fact, mental health can affect on physical health. Therefore, “Laughter is the best medicine” does not mean that I should not take medicine when you're sick. It simply means that have a positive outlook might help ease your troubles but make you cheerful. Besides, making others laugh with you is also an act what is joyful and kind.

    As the saying goes, chances favored the prepared mind. I learned this from one of my experience.

    I was not chosen as member of the volleyball team of our school. Because of this, I decided to give up play volleyball. Luckily, my best friend stopped me but pointed out that it was my laziness and poor preparation which led to my failure. After that, I practiced playing volleyball on every day. When another tryout arrived, I was full prepared and tried my best. As a result, I was selected and became an important player on our school team.

    From this, I am firmly convincing that, no matter when chances arrive, we were able to seize them as long as we get well prepared.
