    When I was a child, I spent more than ten years learn the violin. Therefore, I couldn't understand ‘real music'. After I graduated at high school, a friend of mine suggested that we started to learn the guitar because we all thought it was cool. I will never forget the day on that we went to buy guitars in the guitar store. There I saw a guitar player playing the guitar, which I really enjoy. He became my the first guitar teacher.     I took the Harvard Summer School program in my vacation. During my stay there, I spend a lot of time studying in the main library Widener. I enjoyed myself in the ocean of knowledges, either doing research for my papers or read special edition books. The library, which it is named after its donor Harry Widener, stands right next to the Emerson building of philosophy. Opening a pair of heavy yet elegant metal doors, I was immediate bathed in warm light. I wandered around the library, fascinating to find one treasure after other.

    The library is a amazing place. One can fully experience the academic atmosphere only he visits the library. For me, the library as well as the courses explain Harvard's place as the home of devoted scholars.

    Our life today has many problems. One of the biggest problems are pollution. Water pollution has made our rivers and lakes dirty. It killed our fish and pollutes our drinking water.     Life is full of various experiences, some of them are unforgettable. I still remember the hiking experiences with my classmates for 16 km a year ago. That summer day, we set off early in the morning, think it would be a great fun to walk for so long a distance.     There are many people who help me a lot, among whom are my English teacher, Miss Zhao. I still remember being asked a question in his class, but I fail to answer it. I was very embarrassed that I burst into tear. She didn't blame for me. Instead, she encouraged me with a smile, saying best way to face failure was to keep try and that no success could be achieved without failure. That she said struck me deep at that time, which made me study much harder than before. Now, as a senior three student, I make it my motto: Never give up, and you'll succeed in time.
