The day that you enjoy all{#blank#}1{#/blank#} satisfaction of having all the housework done by a robot might still be a few decades off. But increasingly engineers are saying that{#blank#}2{#/blank#} (robot) are going to make the leap from the factory floor to your family room.

    Bill Gates once predicted the “Dawn of the Age of Robots”. What's behind this new era? It's{#blank#}3{#/blank#} (part) a matter of technology. Devices that can recognize and respond to a human voice have been developed. There are now a few different ways for robots {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (move) around. They can walk crawl or ride on wheels. They are being made smaller and smaller these days and also {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (become) more and more efficient.

    A bigger part of the story depends{#blank#}6{#/blank#}the consumers. People around the world have tirelessly searched for ways to get{#blank#}7{#/blank#} (lazy) from the 1950s{#blank#}8{#/blank#} the television remote control was invented. Also {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (consider) the increasing wealth of people ，engineers believe the time appears ripe to introduce robots to ease our daily lives. Robots will do most of the basic housework {#blank#}10{#/blank#}just help you have more fun on the basketball court.

    One morning, I was waiting at the bus stop, worried about {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (be) late for school. There were many people waiting at the bus stop, {#blank#}2{#/blank#} some of them looked very anxious and {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(disappoint). When the bus finally came, we all hurried on board. I got a place next {#blank#}4{#/blank#} the window, so I had a good view of the sidewalk. A boy on a bike {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (catch) my attention. He was riding beside the bus and waving his arms. I heard a passenger behind me shouting to the driver, but he refused {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(stop) until we reached the next stop. Still, the boy kept {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (ride). He was carrying something over his shoulder and shouting. Finally, when we came to the next stop, the boy ran up the door of the bus. I heard an excited conversation. Then the driver stood up and asked, “{#blank#}8{#/blank#} anyone lose a suitcase at the last stop?” A woman on the bus shouted, “Oh, dear! It's {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(I)”. She pushed her way to the driver and took the suitcase thankfully. Five others on the bus began talking about what the boy had done and the crowd of strangers {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(sudden) became friendly to one another.

    For thousands of years, fishes {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (feed) the people of Peru. It was only when the industrial fishing boats got started in {#blank#}2{#/blank#}1950s that people lost interest in the fish. Modern fishery turned most of its catch into fishmeal(鱼饲料) for feeding other animals. In fact, most of the fish {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (catch) yearly around the world are for use other than eating, and 90% of them are {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (perfect) good to eat.

    White is a researcher at the University of British Columbia and he spent years {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (research) into fishery catches around the world. According {#blank#}6{#/blank#} his study, about 27% of ocean fish which were caught became fishmeal or fish oil. Those products were used to feed farmed fish or used in agriculture.

    "There could be a {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (good) use of these fish," says White. Instead of feeding fish to fish, the fish could feed people, especially those {#blank#}8{#/blank#} need high-quality protein. But the reason why that doesn't happen is a {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (combine) of economics and regulations(法规). In many places, a fisherman can get more money if he sells his catch for fishmeal than if he sells it to the locals for {#blank#}10{#/blank#} meals. And in Peru, a change in how fishes are handled could both satisfy the need to feed the people and supply the fishmeal industry.

    Although he is only eleven years old, James helps the aged. Every day, he goes to Redhill {#blank#}1{#/blank#} train to help three old people with housework and shopping. In this way, he has made their lives much easier. It is through James' hard work that a Neighbourhood Care Program has been started. So far, James and his friends {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (form) a group of young volunteers to seek out the people {#blank#}3{#/blank#} need help. They do this without funding and without recognition. Their main aim is {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (make) a difference through personal sacrifice.
