    In the past two years, our school had organized many activities. What impressed me most was an activity calling “Learning to Farm”. In an autumn afternoon, we went to the farm, where we learned to plant potatoes. Having been in the city for such a long time, we are so happy to go to the countryside. After we got there, we were divided into three groups, we started to work. Some students cut potatoes into pieces, some dug hole, and the others put the pieces of potatoes into the holes, put the earth back and pushed them down hard. We were all busy working as all the work was done. Though we were tired out, we felt pleased on our way back to home.

    My mom is a volunteer in a public hospital. She serve dinner every day to the people waiting for their relatives outside hospital. One day, she asked me to help her of volunteering. At first, I didn't want to, and in the end I gave in to her. Certain, I went there unwillingly. The much food we gave, the more people would come. Looking at people's smiles, especially those from children, was amazed! That made me to feel glad for being there. I realized that happy is not only about receiving, but giving as well. Since then, I had kept volunteering every week.

    It was an early Saturday's morning in August. When we reached the kitchen, there was a big surprise for my brother—his favorite breakfast.     Last month, China celebrated its 70^th anniversary of its founding. It is known to we all that October 1^st is a National Day of the PRC. In this day, there are usually plenty of celebrations holding all over the country.
